Hi guys,
Wondering if anyone can link me the technical stats on VE range fe2 shocks and also wondering if there is any different between
VE SS and VE-SSV fe2 shocks in valving or are they exactly the same?
Also the difference in witht he calais v v8 shocks compared to the SS.
Thanks

I'm sure all VE FE2 shocks are identical eg. SS, SSV, earlier Calais V V8. Recent Calais V only have FE1.5 after many complaints about harsh ride on a so called luxury car.

Thanks for that. So basically theres only one tune for FE2 for all models SV6,SS, SSV. And Calalis is now FE1.5.

Must admit I'm not sure on the SV6 as to whether it is any different due to the slightly lower weight of the V6 compared to the V8. I guess if anything they probably use different springs but same shocks.

I know on the VT Series II to the VZ, the V6 & V8 used the same FE2 springs and shocks.

Makes sense. There's only about 40 - 50 kg difference in weight between the V6 and V8 I think and Holden would want to keep things simplified on the assembly line and for stocking spares.
