Not exactly auto stuff, but i know most of us can appreciate the time, money and effort that goes into these things. This was the Grafton Bridge to Bridge ski race one year.. I own a house doen there still, so i try and get back when these animals are in town ..Got to give loads of cudo's to the crazy people that get towed by these things....

And the detailing is second to none on these toys.. Nothing like having all your undies of your motor exposed to give you an incentive to get creative..

Anyway, enjoy all...

Wow :eyes: Even the (F'n big) Mercury outboards would sting along, but a few TT boats would make for some intense moments on the water, respect

To give you an idea of speed of these things, the trip they do via car is approx 50min one way.. They do the trip in 20 min there and back.. With 2 crazy arse people ski'ing behind them.. One guy got kiled one year a while back when a bird flew into his helmet, crushed his helmet, and killed him instantly.. So some serious speed involved...

Not all of them are 8's though ...Was a couple of turbo 6's as well, and some na 8's..

Shit aye? I can't believe people ski behind these things at full noise! Just cocking up a dive and doing a back splash stings like a bitch, how much would a 200kp/h stack on water hurt? They must eat thumbtacks for breakfast

The usual result would be all ligaments and muscles torn from the side of the body that hits the water first.
Say goodbye to the use of that arm and leg forever more.
(Should you survive).

When you see them on tv, don't forget that they are balancing their life on a knife edge.

Impressive stuff.

i can say i have come off a ski at about 90mph and all i remember about it was waking up about 15 minutes later on the bank of the river. Was black and blue for weeks afterwards. I'de hate to be coming off at 120+mph.

The skiers put the handle behind their backs, and kind of lean back on it too.. So it's not as easy as just letting go when in the shit...
