Next week we are going to put on a Mr Muffler designed F1 system on my HSV GTO to see what results we can achieve and hopefully help the push for 10s on the Gas.
Currently my GTO makes 290rwkw cam only. And on the Gas it makes 370rwkw. This backed up on 2 different dynos. Car is home tuned and has no shop input other than to use there dyno
This is all through a 2 1/2 inch xforce of the shelf system so they seem to go ok for there cheap price.
The goal hopefully will be that the F1 system will pick up 10rwkw to 15rwkw N/A with good torque and hopefully more on the gas.
Results i will post in the next couple of weeks

F1...? Had me guessing there for a minute big fella, but I assume this is Brad's new exhaust system?

New system being fitted today so we will dyno up in the next couple of days to see what it gets over the standard Xforce.
If we do get 10 to 15rwkw it will be a good result just for a xpipe and muffler change.

Get ready to put more klm on the gto Jim,I cant stop driving the gts since the f1 system was fitted. It sounds so much more like it should have ....TUFF...:burnout:

Sounding good so far. Only slightly louder than the xforce but deeper sounding. Heaps better sounding than the xforce
Iam interested to see what power it has given me over the xforce catback.
We will run it as is on the dyno for a figure from just the F1 upgrade then we will adjust the tune to see if the F1 system gets more power from extra tuning.

i was scared that a 3" would be too loud coming from the old 2 1/2 ". I think its just right. You really hear the V8 note & thats over the blower scream!!

Slightly louder, we had women and children screaming in terror when we fired her up. Deleteing the front 21/2'' Xpipe and mufflers and replacing them with a 3'' Xpipe and 3'' F1 power pipes will do that. Looking forward to the dyno run, my prediction will be little rwkw gain but should make great torque. Time will tell.

Now Im confused
Is it a 3" x-pipe into 2.5" piping with 3" mufflers?
Deleted the front mufflers all together... 3" X-pipe into 3" Torque Tubes into the 2.5" rear section i believe.

Hi mate,
Wait and see what happens to Jims car, If it gets a good result I will have a couple knocked up for you. We have a customer with a WH Statesman TT and pulled 370rwkw and almost 900nm, and is running a 21/2'' F1 dual system.
The Turbos are maxed out and if they punch anymore boost into her all they do is create heat not power. A turbo upgrade will be on the cards very soon and they are confident that the only change to the exhaust will be to remove the Xpipe but still run 21/2''.
I am trying to get to the Nationals, are you going, if so give me a call and we will catch up.
Cheers.

Dyno results didnt really yeild to much with the exhaust change but the track results did tell the story.
Ran it at the track on the gas and it picked up 5mph in the top end. Was running 121mph the week before and this week 126.9mph. It made a difference on the NOS thats for sure. Temps were also hotter this week to last to so temps played no factor in it.
