Looking at the Holden website, the Voodoo colour on the SS-V looks like an awesome sky blue colour, however the wagon pictures that ppl keep saying is the voodoo colour (ve wagon thread), looks 'nothing' like it, and infact looks more like impulse.
Does anyone have any real-life pics of the voodoo blue yet?
CG pics on the Holden site might look a little different, i know, but they look 'entirely' different to the voodoo wagon in the other thread??
Edit : I just noticed that atomic looks much lighter (and alot better IMHO) in the pictures at Holden's website compared to real life as well... sigh :bawl:

The pics of the Voodoo Wagon are the real life pics and are accurately portrayed. It's definitely not sky blue.

I don't usually like to have a go at Holden, but seriously, how can those pictures on the 'build it now' pages and the huge flash animation at the top for the ss-v, not be false advertising.
Graphics might differ to real life, but seriously, I could colour match an image better than that with a packet of 4 crayons, so the only thing I can think of, is that they are trying to make it look better than it is, but they are blatantly lying with that colour.
oh yeah, im angry, ..but i've vented so i'm slightly happier now :soap:

not really wanting to have a go at holden, but,is it just me or do the designers need replacing.talk about rehashing the same colours.lets get some new blood in there.the voodoo looks like a version of impulse, karma looks like a slightly different version of odessey.every time they come out with a colour it is 1 or 2 shades lighter or darker than the previous one.i know some of the hero colours aren't everyones favorite but at least they show a little imagination.there i feel better now.

I think that's a little harsh !!! Voodoo has much more pizazz than what Impulse has, whilst still being a safe colour for resale etc... Part of the problem with Tiger and Hyper when Holden started doing hero colours is that they were available on base model vehicles, which dragged down the appeal of the S / SS / HSV versions (IMO).
Karma is quite different Odyssey, Odyssey is a steel blue, whereas Karma is a green based colour, if Karma looks like anything off the Holden colour palate it's Amazon from the VT II days... It seems to me that Holden lead the way, especially compared to Ford who seems to copy most of the time (Hothouse / Envy, Cosmo / Phantom [Ford Purple], and more recently Ignition has been copied.... there's probably more !!!)
But we all see colours different, doesn't mean I'm right !!!
Odyssey - the reason for the two pictures here is to show how different the colours can look not only on different models, but when diferent weather conditions. The 2 Odyssey examples I've shown here look like totally different colours... but are apparently the same colour.

fair enough each to there own.but i still think they could give a bigger change in the range.my wife is a perfect example she sees the tiger mica & fusion as the same.i dont agree & i doubt many would but it is all about perception

I can certainly see the similarities there in Tiger / Fusion; similar to Hyper / Crunch.... the latter "hero" colours tend to be more vivid the second time around !!!

FYI- Fusion was a colour designed by HSV. It was a unique colour for their product range only.
Fusion is quite different to Tiger mica as are the new colours Voodoo and Karma....to any other colours that Holden have designed in the past.
You need to see colour in the flesh. Computer screens give you a different colour reading. Don't waste your time.
Nitrate is a new silver. Not that you would see the difference.

Hey cspiteri, good to see you on here still.
I was under the impression fusion was a Holden hero colour unique to the CV8Z until HSV used it on their range?

Yes also available to CV8Z Monaro but mostly HSV exculsive, I believe.

i think its you that needs glasses if you cant see the similarity.the nitrate & nickel is another example.look at the number of reds over the years except for thr pulse red all very similar.

Nitrate is a completely different kettle of fish. Nitrate was more geared towards the G8, so that the silver matches the Pontiac 'Silver' exterior. Still just as great as Nickel. It's a win win situation.
Offcourse you will not see the difference when it comes to silver. Why these colours stay around for a longer period of time, unless offcourse it's a tri-coat.
To justify a new silver, red or black at most likely around $300K per colour. I'm sure not justifiable when you could spend that money doing a unique colour, like for example Voodoo or Karma.

The VOODOO colour looks alot like the TURISMO BLUE in the VZ's (but the TURISMO BLUE looks alot lighter compared to VOODOO), and I will personally 2nd this (whoever said this), VOODOO looks nothing like IMPULSE BLUE at all!!! I will say 1 thing bout VOODOO, it looks f**kin sick from my angle!!! Looks just as mad as the new ATOMIC GREEN, CRUNCH, & IGNITION metallic colours!!! they all stand out alot more then others, that makes them unique in they're own way imo!!! KARMA looks like a dark gunmetal grey with a bit of oddysey in it from holdens website, but i'm not a huge goer of that colour from those photo's supplied on the previous page!!! but thats me, cheers gonzo_88

I'm hanging out to see one of the Voodoo cars in the flesh. I ordered a new work car, an SV6 manual in Voodoo about 3 weeks ago only going off the image from the Holden website. Hopefully it will look good.

Voodoo is similar to Impluse, but the differences are noticeable, Voodoo is a lot lighter than Impulse. But Karma....total different to Odessey mate, dont know where you see the simlarities. Odessey is a mid silver, with a hint of blue, Karma is a dark jade green metallic. So i dont know how you could mistaken Karma as being similar to Odessey
