My Drivers side power window will not go up. It is not getting the signal to the motor. I have checked the switch and it seems to be good. I can hear the motor when I press the down button. All other windows work. This started happening after I mucked around with some fuses. They all look to be correct.
Any ideas?

It's usually the switch with this.
What test method did you use to test the switch?

This exact same thing happened to me a month or 2 ago. Turned out there was a grub screw that had fallen out of the motor. Pull the door trim off and take a look in the bottom of the door for a metal grub screw about 10-12mm long and about 5-6 mm thick. That screws into the bottom right corner of the power window regulator. I had to pull the whole assembly out because the plastic was slightly corss threaded, and had to give it a slight tap to get the grub screw to screw back in. If you do find the grub screw, and need more info let me know.
EDIT found link to my old thread.

I just pulled the entire assembly out and checked that the connections were still good.
Thanks for your reply.
If it was the grub screw, I should still be able to hear the motor (going from your old thread). It seems that no signal is gettng to the motor.
Given that the last thing I was doing before it stopped working playing with the fuses:
Am i able to totally rule out faulty relay or fuse? Would the window still power down with this sort of fault?
Turns out it was the switch after all.
