GUYS
im looking at the harrop 122 blower for the new LS3 maloo to start with and my be a small cam later on
do you need a full 3" sys with big tube extractors to get the best out of the blower or is going that big a wast of $$
as i was quoted $4,200  fitted for a well known brand by a well known sponsor is thear a cheaper alternative
how many more RWKW would you expect to get with 3" over 2.5" or even the stock HSV sys
and would 3" only be better on the top end ?

No expert on the matter but I'd stick with the 2 1/2 inch. The H122 runs out of legs at high rpm, the area where a 3" comes into its own.

so would a cam in the 220/228 basket keep it on the boil for a while longer or would it run out of stick round the same rpm ?

hmm would you want a lower lsa like a 112 or 110 so that keeps some power up top end so the top end cam and blower running out of puff help each other out?
or is that just stupid...

Lower LSA will disadvantage a blown or turboed car, the cam must suit the blower not try and pick up its losses in the top end.
Thats what i have been told and seems to be what most people do.

As for the exhaust price, if you want the best its going to cost lots. something like 1700 for a cat back but its the ducks nuts.

Would look at 1 7/8 headers with the blower. Have fitted these to my GTS (Full Di Fillipo System) and works extremely well with blower....we picked up over 10rwk with bigger headers in testing. The HH122 is a good thing and will handle 450rwk plus and will rev sweetly all the way to redline:)

Best,

Tully

There's no way I'd put a 2.5" on a 6.2l LS3. Twin 3" is the only way to go, but you will pay a bit extra for it. I'll be looking at a Di Filippo 1 7/8" extractors, 3" cats and twin 3" catback, and I'm not expecting too much change out of $4k (inc fitting).
