x icon on my 2000 wh statesman dash display

i recently brought a wh statesman & have noticed a x on the display....
please help????????

i had this come up after putting a level 3 cluster in my ss
it is an error code or something
take it to holden and they can clear it for you with the tech 2
or leave it i haven't had mine cleared yet after 9 months of having the cluster in

I'd suspect it's an airbag or climate control related fault code.

Tech 2 scan will tell you for sure what it is.

I dont think it will be either. if it is a climate control fault, it will come up on the climate control screen. if it is a airbag fault, the SRS airbag light will light up. I would say if the cross is in the tacho display then it is a fault with a sesor in the cluster itself, fuel/rpm etc. anyway as others have said 5mins on the Tech 2 will tell you what it is

Good point.

I know when I installed a higer spec dash into my VTSS I got the X in the left hand window display.

Tech 2 indicated it was a climate control and airbag fault code (due to VTSS only having 2 airbags and no climate obviously) and the dash was looking for the climate control and additional airbags in the higher spec model that the dash came out of.

In this instance ... correct high spec car with correct high spec dash etc, a dash sensor fault makes perfect sense.

i had the little cross pop up every now and again.... on the climate lcd then to the left window of the 3 lcd display in my statesman.. it was my abs module.. $510 later!!!.. i think maybe somewhere in there my abs light flashed a few times.. stupid high tech cars:bawl:
