Those with paddock passes need to read this notice on pitstop.com.au carefully
The Paddock Pass
The Paddock Pass gives you access into the paddock where the teams are based in between the racing and for 2008 the paddock will only be accessible to the public at certain times (see below). You will need a General Admission ticket for initial access to the event and a Paddock Pass to get into this area (unless you have a Pit Straight Grandstand ticket which includes this access).
There is no concession or child paddock pass for 2008, although children under 5 do not require a pass for access. Children under 14 will need to be accompanied by an adult in the paddock.
There is no spectator viewing of the track from the paddock area unless you have access to corporate or grandstand seating.
There is no alcohol to be carried in the paddock. Friday 9 May
7am - 12 noon Spectator V8 Supercar Paddock Walk
Saturday 10 May
6:30 am - 10:15 am Spectator V8 Supercar Paddock Walk
12:15pm - 2pm Spectator V8 Supercar Paddock Walk
4:15pm - 5pm Spectator V8 Supercar Paddock Walk
Sunday 11 May
6am - 10am Spectator V8 Supercar Paddock Walk
12:15pm - 1:15pm Spectator V8 Supercar Paddock Walk
and considering most teams don't open their pit garage doors till 8-8.30, there won't be much time to check them or the cars out with thousands also trying to see there best teams and drivers

this event seems to get more and more dissappointing every year!!! i remember last year they banned bbqs etc for no good reason. I spoke to a few fireys that were around the place and they said it had nothing to do with them and they had no problem with people taking gas bbqs!! and the track and facilities are beyond a joke for V8 supercar rounds.
I have been on the friday saturday and sunday for the past 4 years and on sat and sun every time before that since i can remember. This year i'm only going on the sunday, its not the same anymore...

Happy Larry doing what he does best. A man for the fans. Here with wifey and daughter.
Hmmmm...maybe Larry has mellowed in his old age. I still remember asking Brock and Perkins for their hats whilst they were on their way to the podium after Bathurst 1983. PB said yeah, no problem you can have it after we get back from the presentation...Larry just looked at us as if i'd asked him for a kidney! True to his word, PB met us after the presentation and signed the hat and gave it to me and John Harvey signed his and gave it to my brother...Lp just looked the other way and strolled off into the distance. We always found him to be unapproachable during his years with PB...by the sound of things he's changed his ways...for the better.
Still have the PB hat to this day although during the past 25 years my brother managed to lose the Harvey hat (and managed to let the Brock hat get damaged whilst in his care) :( A friend of my brother's (who works at the Revesby HDT) offered us $5000 for the hat after the death of PB but it holds so many memories that we'll never get rid of it (my Dad died in a car accident on the way to the 1996 Bathurst Races).
Sorry for the long-winded (and slightly off-topic) reply...brought back a few memories.

Man i love the V8's!
That pit speed limiter that has them burbling away down pit straight is enough to give a 90yr old a hard on!
Fun day..was surprised at the turn out for a friday actually, and that humidity!
Amazing just how nice the drivers are after running their cars around etc, and walking back to the pits are happy to sign and have a chat. Makes it all worth it.
Heres hoping the plans for a new racetrack do happen as WA will become the MOST boring sporting event state in AUS :bawl:

Got to have a close look at the Toll HSV cars with team manager Erik () and also hang out in the trailor with Rick and Paul this morning and see what goes on...awsome experience.
