The final instalment of the Yota Rolla series, filmed only a few weeks ago.
Some fun editing in there, let me know what you think!

PS. I don't want to hear people complaining that I may have squashed some flora, or that what we did may have been dangerous... This is for the enjoyment of all forum users :)

Thanks for the comments guys.
We are a results-driven group... the aim was to have the car finished that weekend. It had been driven for over an hour with no coolant and a smashed radiator fan, temp off the end of the scale, and kept going. Smashed the sump in, no worries. Even after that head-on into the tree, pry the radiator off the fan hub, and it fired no worries. It really isn't easy to kill these things.

I don't think you are a true Aussie until you have paddock bashed a Rolla or Corona ! They are the ultimate bush basher. We should arrange a one make bush series within 2 hours of each major city.
We had one for a few months on 100 acres. A mate of mine took it for a run, way out of site, it was quiet for just a bit too long and we started to worry but he popped up over the horizon driving very carefully and straight back to us, he was white as a sheet and had grass and dirt hanging out of all the door gaps ! He had a gentle roll over and ended up on his wheels again, (he nearly poo'd his duds though) funny thing was he had to climb out of the windows as the small rain channels folded over the tops of the doors.
Another mate jumped it at 50km'h on what was a 40km/h top speed jump and nosed it into the ground for a dead stop, the thing was banana'd and ended up with a brick on the accelerator on a cold morning, the thing lasted for close to 8 minutes before bang rattle rattle stop.

:lmao: this is great.
My mate had an old rolla that we beat up around the bush until we rolled it. So we tipped it over, it started easy as and then we cut the roof off to make it a convertable, sooo much fun.
Then it smoked itself after another crash and finally died

Thanks for the comments guys. The song should have read: "football, meat pies, kangaroos, holden cars, and bushbashers"
Have a look at the rest of my channel too, there's more vids of it there, and other machines we've used over the years too.

No, it's behind the shed awaiting trucking to a wreckers. I'd like to get the diff and gearbox off it for a KE70 in the future but I don't think Ill be able to before it goes :(
It was filmed near Higgins Cutting on the Murray, about 20mins NE of Renmark.

Had a similar vintage KE55 Rolla and yep they take an absolute caning. Mine had a head decked so harshly the valves were almost protruding out...when closed.
Compression would have been up around 20:1 I reckon! Kept blowing gaskets ( I wonder why?) Solid lifters kept it revving up to 8000 rpm regularly (as a daily driver). So much fun to chuck around!!
Was paddock bashing around near my farm and some young blokes about 13/14 years had a celica they were giving some shit. Scary times when they came flying around a corner at me and their bonnet catch let go and up she went covering the windscreen. Got a video somewhere...I'll have to dig it up.

I love it mate. Having been up to similar shenanigans in my past too I can appreciate how much fun it is to do stuff like this. Old Jap cars are simply awesome for abuse. They certainly don't build them like they used to. You've rekindled my lust to kill a shit box.. I'm off to get the trading post to see if I can hunt down a Gemini.
