Why does this stupid program log you out when you don't want to?
Was correctly logged in, had even posted a reply, went to post another reply to a different topic, spent 5 minutes composing the most brilliant repartee, clicked submit, bloody thing told me i was not entitled as i was not logged on.
This has happened several times in the past too.
What gives?

I'm not sure exactly why this happened, perhaps the cookie that the site uses expired?
If you continue having the problem, you could try clearing all the cookies for your browser (but be aware other sites may require you to log into them again as a result), and then logging in again.

Regards the lost post, if you receive an error again, you could try hitting the 'Back' button and I would think that would return you to where you were editing your post. Then you could copy the text you typed - and save you having to write it all again.

Try changing your password as well. That may help...as well as removing all those flaming cookies

The cookie on your system for the forums may have become corrupted .... try clearing your temp internet files including cookies and see if that clears up your issue.

Edit: Well that's what I get for not refreshing the screen before posting :D

Yeh happens to me if I take too long. Have learnt the hard way so now I copy the text before I hit the post button so if it shits itself I don't have to type it all over again.

I have the cookie catcher set to reject all cookies that remain on the machine and prompt for temporary cookies, so there is only the cookies this site requires, I don't accept cookies from other sites except for my email and I always delete all cooikes at the end of a session (there arn't any usually).
Unfortunatelt I don't have access to another computer so can't try that.
