removal of vy ss boot lid

Hey gang out there. Removing my rear boot lid tomorrow and was wondering where you disconect the lead to the lights on the spoiler. Havnt had a look yet to find out. Anything else i should know when doing this?

undo the screws on the spoiler.. lift it off enough to find the wires.. and unclip it

Did this a while back, very easy. Undo the wiring from inside the boot (clip) and loosen the bolts. You might want to buy rubber grommets from Repco. I found mine kept leaking, but was fortunate enough to have a mate who purchased a vy exec, so i swapped boots with. Kept the executive badge on it for a shit stir.

Okay little tip *i had a vy before the ve* anyway,

once you find the clip for the lights, theyl be a prick to get undone, do NOT put force on it or youl destroy it.

They should be a little bump which will hold the clip in place, get a small flat head screw driver put it inbetween lever up gently and pull apart at the same time then you shouldnt have any problem.

Also be careful pulling the wiring out of the boot, dont do what i did and get it stuck with spoiler in your hands going shit what do i do now.

BTW the connector for the boot led will be about half way in the middle of the boot it will be a smallish connector. pull it out disconnect it and put your foot on the brake.

Thats how i found mine haha...
