View Full Version : VY SS Central Locking Problem

Not sure where to post this so hopefully I got it right.
My VY SS central locking locks everytime I close the door.
For example, the other night it was cold so I started it up to leave it running for 5 and upon returning the doors had locked.
After playing around with it I came to realise that as soon as you close it while the doors are un-locked, they lock instantly. The driver's side door handle is a little difficult to action from both inside and outside the car.
Anyone else had a similar issue?

In the settings menu I'm pretty sure from memory that there is an option to turn that feature off. Give that a go. I think its the car jacking feature or something.

I know in the autos you can set the doors to lock when drive is selected but not sure about the door function. Fairly dangerous function to have really espescially if the kids are in there and lock themselves in.
it sounds like the door regulator or agtuator is on the way out.2 weeks ago i something similar to you on my vx and and that is what it is.do you have to lift up the door lock button itself?if you do the part is about $120 from holden.

Thanks guys, there is definitely no setting in the menu a part from the one already mentioned (locks in Drive).
I'll take it back to the dealer this week.

Was it idling in Nuetral or Drive?
If it is an auto then yes you can select "Auto Lock in Drive", but that doesn't sound like your problem. My bosses VZ Tonner does the same thing, just take it back to the dealer mate.

it is common for the Vy's door actuators to become weak and play up. You will have to eiyther get them replaced by holden for about $200 a door i think off the top of my head or do it yourself. I think all Vy's have had a problem at some stage or another with actuators,
