Umm, more information would be helpful - which models?
VT2-VY2 HSV and Holden shared the same engine (apart from those which had the C4B engine, not offered for Maloo though), with HSV putting different intake/exhaust and pcm tuning mods into theirs to achieve their rated outputs.
cheers,

ALL LS1's were the same other than the C4B which had different heads and cam. There were a few revisions of pistons/rings to combat the oil useage on early engines but this was across the whole range and not limited to HSV or a model. The only real difference was the headers, exhaust and tunes. There was also the change in intake manifolds in the later VXII series and a few changes in cam profiles (but very minor)

The block also changed in VYII, but it also changed for everything, HSV and Holden.

The block is the same other than some had a LS6 block and some LS1 (this started in early VX series). The only block change was the LS2/L76 in the VZ (same block)
