Diff gears need explaining

Hi Guys n gals,

I have a VY SS with Mafless tune etc. and I'm thinking of ways to get extra oomph without changing internals or FI. Someone mentioned I should change my diff gears but to be honest I don't have a clue which to get!

Can anybody explain which gears to get for certain desired outcomes? If I want increased acceleration etc. whilst maintaining high top speed etc. should I get 3.9's, 3.75's etc etc.

Mate it's been done to death so i advise that you do a search.Trust me on this there's literally hours of reading :) However the general consensus is for an m6 to go 3.9's.

Yep, 3.46 - 3.91 is a very good change. You'll notice the extra pick-up right through the rev range in a M6 and it also makes 6th much more flexible.
