Hey Guys, has anyone had this happen to them.
When I take my car out of Park into Drive, sometimes the indicators flash, nothing else seems to happen, and there seems to be no common time, place or reason for this to happen. It doesn't cause any problems, I'm just curious, is it some type of warning , like engine cold or cops around or maybe there's a dodgy looking volvo nearby? Thanks in advance.

The indicator stalk ain't where you change gears mate. I don't think the VZ's came out with a column shift anyway, well my VZ SV8 has not got it.
Good luck with that one.

Actually the VZs do have sort of a column shift, if you've got the SV6 with the 5 speed auto, it's called Active Select( + and - buttons behind the steering wheel) but it's areal pain in the arse to use, more of a gimmick really.
Anyway here's the sequence it happens in
*Unlock and get in the car
*key in the ignition and turn to start and release ( you don't have to hold it till it starts, a bit like those stupid start buttons in the fords)
*seatbelt on (always before engaging Drive)
*handbrake off
*move gear selector from Park into Drive (at this point sometimes all the indicators flash once, a bit like hazard lights, like I said maybe there is a rogue volvo in the area).
I'll have to play with it a bit, see if there is something in the setup menu.
Or, heaven forbid, maybe I should dig out the owners manual and have a read!
Nah. I'll just wing it!
