Hi all

So im in the market for a new set of wheels asap and im considering a set of either VE SS or VE SSV. Ive got a preference to holden originals as I think they always look best on any commodore. With these two selections ive got my options open as to 18's (SS) or 19's (SSV). I know I will need to have them machined to fit but this isnt a problem.

Is anyone running these on their VY? I would be really interested in seeing some pics if so.. or would i could locate some pics

Ive also seen the VE SS wheels with a black gloss finish like these below.. These cant be originals right?

doesnt look like originals as they have been painted black on the inside, unless someone has painted them up
this is an original

PM me if you wanna get a set of 5 ve ssv rims and tyres

He only wants the ve rims as the tyres are no good for him he needs a smaller tyre.

I think the SS rims with the black paint job look pretty good.

cheers

I am also interested in the SSV rims.. Whats ur suggestion SS Enforcer? Will the tyres on the SSV be too big/wide for a fitment to a VY?

I have seen the VE SS wheels on a VY around my area, it doesnt look too bad, but I dont think you can go past the VE SSV wheels on VY/Zs. They suit them a treat

Can someone tell me if the wheels from the SSV sedan are the same as the SSV Ute?

Do they have the same ratings, PCD, Offset etc?

Im looking at a set that have come from the ute and want to be certain that they are suitable for my VY sedan (once machined)

They will be the same as Holden dont make different wheels between utes and sedans

Looks like arse.

Look at the original rims in vicarious's post and you'll see the difference

I thought the same as S2VYSS but I just read sjhugh's post #19 in http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=99990&page=2 which says his dealer told him they were slightly different. Definitely worth checking into further!

What profile tyres would I need to run as Im wondering if I will face issues with the standard bridgies? The standard bridgestones are 245/40/19.. Will I have issues with this profile? i.e. do I need to go 245/35/19?

Any help much appreciated. Cheers
