How many of you guys that ride, commute daily on a bike?
I ride every day, rain hail or shine and now that winter is well and truly here all the fair weather fairies (particularly the scooter fags) have all disappeared. Having decent wet weather gear makes a huge difference for riding in the rain.
If you do ride every day, do you have any 'special' gear for commuting (like wet weather gear for instance) that you'd like to share with the rest of us?

Yeah, I ride everyday and the one thing that really assists in the winter and the rain is a good anti fog visor. I have fog most morning in the middle of winter and ride in a 100km/h zone for before finding the safety ofr a 50 zone. Without the anti fog visor it's very dangerous IMO.

Yeah, I ride to work and back every day, rain hail or shine. You definately know it when the temp is around the 0 degree mark. I have Alpine Star waterproof boots, dririder pants, a dririder Nordic 4 jacket and dririder waterproof gloves, all seem to keep me warm and dry enough. Also having a good neck warmer comes in handy.

I ride every day but....winter up here, not much of a hassle...:yup:
I never had a car or car license until I was 26, so used to ride every day since I was 16. I agree with a good anti-fog visor and waterproof pants or a change of clothes at work, there's nothing worse than spending the day at work with soaking clothes. Especially in the groin region.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but, does anyone have trouble with their glasses fogging up? My visor has an anti fog coating and is really good. But if it is down, when I pull up at the lights my glasses fog instantly. Then when I ride off again they slowly clear up. I tried opening my visor when I pull up, but it didn't do very much. Does wonders for confidence in traffic! Any ideas? Cheers!

To be honest I'd rather leave my car in the shed and get my bike dirty and wet. The money I save on fuel riding to work pays for the bike and the wet weather gear. Or that was my justification to the wife!

No different to dry weather. Lycra shirt and nicks. The only difference is I wear an underlayer as well in winter.... Oh wait you meant a motorbike :jester:
Sorry couldn't resist.

Funny you should say that...ever since I've been commuting on the bike daily, my interest in going for a blat on the weekend has nearly dried up.
It's made me a better rider though. In terms of dealing with traffic and some of the stupid shit cagers do.
