NO NEW ITEMS ALLOWED / SECONDHAND ITEMS ONLY - Classified Guidelines: PLEASE READ

All FOR SALE and WANTED threads pass through quarantine and are validated by the mods before they appear in this section. This is usually done within a few hours.

Unfortunately no corporate advertising or selling on behalf of a business is permitted at this stage, however shops are allowed to respond to WANTED threads. This obviously does not apply to our sponsors.

Classifieds
The classified section is offered free to members selling SECOND HAND goods privately.

Second Hand goods are defined as goods that have been used for a period of time. Goods in original packaging or "As New" are not permitted.

ALL classifieds entries MUST have either an asking price or price range. No "Expression of Interest" threads will be allowed.

The vehicles and other products offered for sale here by individuals are not covered by any warranties, real or implied, of Australian LS1 and Holden Forums, or any other related companies or individuals.

The buyer should seek any such proof or warranties they feel necessary from the sellers, including proof of ownership of such vehicles or products.

All material is subject to moderation prior to publication but the Australian LS1 and Holden Forums accepts no responsibility or liability for misleading or incorrect information supplied by advertisers.

Minimum information should include on vehicle sales

* Make, model and year of manufacture.

* Registration information.

* Where the vehicle is being sold from.

* The asking price.

* The Odometer reading at the time of advert placement.

* Vehicle colour, transmission type, modifications made etc etc.

* Your preferred contact method, email, Mobile or Private Message (PM)

Sponsors are the ONLY only users permitted to list/sell BRAND NEW items in the Classifieds

There have been some posts in here lacking alot of information. If you are posting here for goods/parts for sale, please be as descriptive as possible. Simply put yourself in the position of the buyer, what would you want to know???

Its not the Trading Post, you are not paying by the line to place your add - take advantage of this and tell your prospective buyers all they need to know!!!!

Minimum information should include

** Where the goods are being sold from
** The asking price
** If you are prepared to freight the goods to the buyer
** The condition of the goods, if used approxiamte KM's travelled
** Your preferred contact method, email, Mobile or Private Message (PM)

One line posts with no info may simply not be allowed through...... :)

FYI for people that already have an existing thread and are considering re-posting it, this is posted under the FAQ section of the forum:

The Classified Sections do not list posts in order of latest post/activity, instead they are listed in order of thread creation. This avoids the bumping of threads to get to the top. No user may create a new thread for an item for sale within 2 weeks of the original thread being created.

Also can we all note please that general chit chat etc will not be "Approved" only "Genuine Enquiries" on the goods being offered. No price on your goods and it will be deleted as well so please double check you have included a price...

I have tried posting a couple of items for sale, the first response was, no new items in the classified section, yet there were 3 others posted that same afternoon.

The second reply said it is for paying sponsors only, I thought that is what the sponsor section was for, not the classifieds, but in the write up, it says it is for the free use of forum members, which I am, have been for some time now, am not validated due to no activity in FAR Nth QLD.

The posts of items are all for or from LS engines, or from a VE commodore, so it is relative to the forum, so why can't I post my items for sale?

Try reading what it said again. 'No brand new items - this is resevered for our paying 'Sponsors' only.' in other words only 'Sponsors' can post brand new items. As for new items that have been approved unfortunately sometimes when moderating the 'Classifieds' some slip through when they shouldn't. Perhaps report those posts.

Just post a reply saying the item has been sold or removed from sale, and when we see that post in the moderation queue we approve it and close the thread.

Are we notified if our thread is rejected?

Members need to read this thread and the FAQ prior to advertising items in the classifieds. If you advertise new items and you are not a Forum Sponsor you will get a ban.

There is no point emailing the moderators and getting stroppy with them. The rules are there for all to abide by.
