Interested In Superchargers?.....Read This.
Dropped in to see my very old friend Mark Sicura at VCM Suite/Autotecnique, to see their latest product.
Mark advised me that VCM is now the Australian agent for Magnuson Superchargers, & I was actually able to see one of these units that had been installed on a company car.
Wow!...is all I can say....what a beautifully made unit....I like engine covers, but this unit looks so good with it's matching O.E quality components, I don't know whether I'd want it "covered up".
Some of the ancilliary items come directly from the awesome ZR1 Corvette, & as well as designing their own specific OTR cold air intake, VCM have developed their own tune "in house" specifically for these units.
There are various "levels", including different intercoolers, available, so....all I can say is, if ya're thinking about a Supercharger, check this one out.....you'll be super impressed.
Cheers, Pickles.

so they're selling them now instead of CAPA? Or am I thinking of a different brand?

That's awesome news mate, I love the Maggies. Anywhere I can get pics and some more details? Cheers

No "plugging" mate.....VCM, as a Forum Sponsor, can do their own "plugging".....I was shown the unit...it impressed me,.....so, I thought some members may be interested....that's all.
Cheers, Pickles.

I'd imagine they're the same ones...
Very happy with mine. Great bang for buck. Other sponsors like Actives have also been using them for a long time with excellent results... Eddy and the crew wouldn't continually use something that didn't work

I have a magnuson 2300 in my vz ss, running 16 psi and have nothing but good things to say.
Surprisingly quiet when cruising but at wot it makes an awesome whine lol.
Re: Interested In Superchargers?.....Read This.
These units are not like the previous generations of Magnuson superchargers (or anything else) - these were designed on a clean sheet (screen) with fresh concept intent.
They are TVS2300 based and modular - developed with flexibility & upgradability as a key attribute.
There are a few images and specifications available ... do a Google on Magnuson Heartbeat
Re: Interested In Superchargers?.....Read This.
Just had a quick look... look quite interesting. I'll have to do some more reading. Don't like the chrome look at all though, black powder coat looks the goods. Intercooler design sounds like it will work better.
Any efficiency comparisons compared to the MP/TVS/older versions that you know of?
Re: Interested In Superchargers?.....Read This.
There has been a LOT of back-to-back testing done, however I am not authorised to release that data (yet).
I know of at least two US companies doing independant testing and expect they will publish the results.
Re: Interested In Superchargers?.....Read This.
I hope they are cheaper than the Harrops still?? Be good if VCM post some info & prices on these since they are so new.
Re: Interested In Superchargers?.....Read This.
I have the MP1900 Magnuson Installed here in WA by Active Autos, great peice of gear couldnt be happier with it. The price should be a fair bit down on the comparative Harrop unit.
Re: Interested In Superchargers?.....Read This.
Would be interesting to see some development in the VCM OTR to better suit the Magnuson Superchargers, currently the boot is quite restrictive we managed to gain nearly 30hp yesterday on the dyno just by lifting the OTR up to increase the flow of air.
I see there is an OTR to suit the Harrop, I presume there is a bit of difference between the Harrop and Magnuson when it comes to fitting the OTR?
