I'm guessing you have tried wiggleing the absolute crap out of the boot lid?
Just inside the back seat is a release cable even with the amps there you should be able to get to it here's a pic try giving it a a few tugs :hide:

Behind the right hand rear head rest should be the emergency release puller.

The metal rod from the actuator had broken at the lock end. I just bent it into a hook shape and reattached it and it works fine :thumbsup:

Only the monaro has that. As per the photo, the pulled is to the side of the ski port.

Hope you can buy just a new actuator metal rod from Holden as mine broke yesterday on my VYII Calais.
