C63's Flooding The Market ??
I have been a keen watcher on carsales of the C63 AMG's for a few years now and in the last 6 months the number for sale on carsales has grown from a steady 50 units for sale in the country to todays total of 143.
What does this mean when you see pricing of 2013 models like this below, in particular the first car. Happy times for buyers ?
I thought Mercedes have a price guarantee scheme for resale prices ??

Damn! That first one is beautiful. I'm hunting around for a car for the mrs with a budget of about 40k. If she sees that, I might need to visit the bank :hide:
Re: C63's Flooding The Market ??
First one excludes on road costs ... you can add a fair whack for that.
Makes sense, the sale of them started to pick up about 3 - 4 years ago so now is the time that used models start to hit the market. I don't know that it will affect prices hugely, unless you can find someone desperate to sell and happy to drop their price.
You interested in one John or just like to watch ??? :D

They do have this as an option on finance at an extra cost, but this doesn't effect the market value of the car once it is put on sale. It just means that Mercedes finance takes the risk on the resale rather than the buyer. At cost of course!
Re: C63's Flooding The Market ??
best check out whats floating around NZ atm..........20% discount using Aus dollar.......mind you they may well have been snapped up already by ex Kiwis living in aus with an eye too true values...
the 09 model I advertised here in the forum 1 year back did pull aus $110K......same AMG / similar ks NZ *delivered* ( ie non jap inport ) , at that time $79K.........( When Aus dollar commanded a full 30% over the NZ $.....who is getting a little Vaseline via Car companys + aus taxes.... up the rear end ?
and look what they have to pay for a new supperceded Commodore  Damn near Merc / BMW money
Ideas anyone ?

Some well priced C63's in NZ imported from the UK. Wonder what would be involved to bring them into Australia ?

I can't imagine it would take much since they have to pass the strict crash test ratings subjected by europe should be compliant in australia. UK luxury car sales go in the shitter after first couple years, I was reading that cars like the m6 bmw are worth just a little bit over half of their original sticker after the first year, its largely determined by engine size and emissions output though.
