I want an SSV Redline Sedan Silver Manual
The problem is getting one, anyone know which dealer has one on their floor ? My local is telling me 8-12 weeks wait.....I am not very patient. I was willing to look at an HSV but it took talking to 5 dealers in Brisbane before I even got a chance to find out how much they were, have lost faith in the brand if that is the current pre sales process I hate to think what the after sales support is.

Unfortunately that's just the way it is atm. The V8s are in hot demand and I think that's good news for us and the industry. The V8 is not dead just yet.

My dealer is telling me 8 weeks for the Redline. It's the biggest seller by far and has had several HSV owners doing trade-ins for them.

Speaking to a Holden factory guy today, who was at the dealer for one of those launch events and he told me SS-V and Calais-V are the best sellers by far at the moment. SS-V is apparently making up more than half of the SS sales so far. He also said SS-V Redline were very hard to get and it would be that way for a while. Sales are way above the old model and he expected it would take a while for them to catch up.
My SS-V Redline was one of only two they had and now they are both sold. They were both on the floor for just the one week.

The SS V with a 10k price drop from VE and amazing equipment levels certainly got me from normally buying the SS.

In one of the articles, I remember reading something about HSV are not worried with the success of the Redline and they say it won't eat into any HSV sales. Well, I think they should be worried. It's seems a very capable package compared to HSVs basic model and a lot less cheaper. I personally think it will eat into HSV sales.

Times are tough and a cheap car with good power will always sell well. Not everyone can afford an HSV variant and with the Mr Rudd's fbt plan, there goes another avenue to get one.

It is a great bang for buck and leaves a bit in ya pocket for mods, but they say , great until someone in a HSV VF Clubbie pulls up next to you :burnout:

Brilliant move wasn't it..... way to strangle the local manufacturers when their down.
Re: I want an SSV Redline Sedan Silver Manual
I think HSV have their product mix wrong for the VF. With Redline coming on so strong, the base Clubsport should be the Clubsport R8 and it should be priced the same as the current base Clubsport.
Re: I want an SSV Redline Sedan Silver Manual
A Redline is a better choice over a Clubsport. :weirdo: :bash:
That makes my brain hurt.
The brakes and engine alone are worth the extra.

Re: I want an SSV Redline Sedan Silver Manual
I just took the time to look at VF's this week. Found Redlines on the floor in all configurations across two dealers. And I am impressed with the cars.
They are not keen to talk price, which instantly turned me off. If they had of cut a deal I would have been very tempted to throw my VE and the VF on a hoist, swap the exhaust + brakes etc and drive away in a new one. I am not in a huge hurry to buy and I can't justify $52K for a redline ute. I guess I would be interested in SS or SSV and swap my goodies over.
Anyway, they are out there if you want one, just depends how much you want to pay.
