Up to $300,000 for a GTSR W1
As in the story in the link. Will someone really pay $300,000 or more for a GTSR W1 ???
I remember reading posts about when the pricing was first announced that people thought the $200,000 on-road was to much.
Are there really buyers out there willing to pay this much??
Thoughts ???

Only as much as someone is willing to pay.

Surely it's illegal to sell something you don't have possession over? When you you actually own the car?
FWIW I don't care either way, just want to know how...

I wouldn't be surprised if someone coughed up the coin for that..
Just because I can't afford it doesn't mean it isn't chump change for someone else.

Will be a nice car to own if I had the coin laying around to be able to afford it..
But at the original list price.. Not at the inflated prices they look to be going for

:yup: A fool and his money are soon parted. If someone is willing pay $80 000+ for a 186 powerglide HK GTS, anything's possible.

Yeah, I saw a bloke pay around $80,000 for a poo/goldy brown coloured HK 186 powerglide GTS a couple of years ago:spew:
The wanker was even beating himself off because it had original hub caps! :jerk::jerk::jerk:
Hard to imagine a slower or more boring POS to drive.

HA - my days of wasteful spending are over. If I had $300K to waste/invest (depending on your point of view) I wouldn't be buying a W1.. I like the car and think it a feat that HSV even did it, but no racing pedigree for me so not on my bucket list.

I've seen people asking $20K plus for XD Falcons.. that were originally 6 bangers. full of rust. Don't even get me started on VL Commodores.. still good luck to them I guess if it makes them happy. I'm probably just bitter as if I kept every car I've owed and sold it now I wouldn't need to work anymore.

In 20 years time somebody might look at this thread & wish they had a time machine
so they could go back to 2017 & snap up a bargain.:hide:
