Melbourne Newbie with a vy ss
Hey guys, Newbie from Melbourne.
I bought this vy ss ute around november last year and have taken a little while to get started on my mods.
I'm installing a set of 4-1 Hm Headers this weekend and 100 cell cats. It already has a xforce 2.5inch catback with no rear mufflers.
Then monday its going in for a VCM OTR install and a tune :)
Future plans include some nice 20inch rims, and a cam, possibly a harrop blower as well.
I have some other stuff I need to sort out on it as well, it needs a new headunit as its a pretty shit alpine one in there at the moment, and non of the steering wheel controls are hooked up. It has an amp and sub, but I dont think their working. Planning to get a full size headunit (I dont really know what you call them), with apple car play functionality and get the steering wheel controls hooked up.
The gear knob also has its plating peeling off so i better replace that and the boot around it at well.

Nice looking ute mate! (Well..... apart from the chev badge!) :stick::jester:
Welcome to the forum.
Look forward to seeing your build!
Re: Melbourne Newbie with a vy ss
Nice VY ute mate is it a series 2 perhaps?
With the proposed 20" rims, do some research with those cause in that chassis, it may look sweet but the ride will be harsh as fuk!
I opted for 18" on my VZ which is lowered to legal height fills the guards nicely & ride is great! Tyres in 18's are very reasonable too :yup:

A very nice, clean car.
It's made by Holden, do it a favour and lose the Chev badge .
