Led to believe the one I posted in "Cool Rides" the other day is also one of the few that arrived at some dealerships.

Be interesting to see a fair road test comparison.

Re: Camaros are arriving!
On spec...
the Camaro seems to be a bit lighter in weight than the Mustang.
Mustang is putting out a few more kilowatts but at a fair bit higher rpm.
Camaro seems to be advertising slightly better fuel economy
but looks as though it costs about $20,000 more to purchase.
Oh.... & you can't get a manual gearbox in a Camaro.

That really sucks!!
Re: Camaros are arriving!
I wonder if they will be able to find a manual version when they race them in 2020.

I don't think putting plastic panels on a purpose built control chassis with sequential transaxle gearbox will translate well to a road car.
All they are going to do is put the mustang panels on the "ford" chassis they are using this year, so I'm only assuming they will do the same with Camaro panels on the "Holden" chassis.
We need to remember that the race cars have nothing to do with what we see on the streets.

You missed my point. I was being facetious.
Re: Camaros are arriving!
If the price was competitive with Mustang I'd have one over the Ford. But $20k more for a car in the same segment is only ever going to appeal to the brand loyalists. I hope they sell them all. But it's not reasonable to expect much of a following to be developed for them with the extremely limited numbers available.

Exactly!
But I would go one step further & buy a manual Mustang for another $3,000 saving because I would prefer a 6 speed manual over a 10 speed auto.
