Well deserved win. Could see it had potential. Shame Hutchy had his incident.

On board footage of MD on the 2017 GSX-R1000 during a practice lap, from the North West 200 last month.
Note that the ABS light and TC Lights are both permanently on (yellow), showing that the ABS and Traction Control are disabled / turned off...
Speedo isn't hook up in video so...
From my own spread sheet, I've worked out the (Theoretical Calculated, excluding any loses in the drive train / or tyre slip on the road) max speeds in each gear at 14500 RPM redline, with "Stock OEM 2017 Gearing", including the new primary and secondary gear ratios and larger 190/55 tyre, which is new for the 2017 GSX-R1000/R.
1st (156.30 km/h)
2nd (195.12 km/h)
3rd (233.63 km/h)
4th (267.01 km/h)
5th (294.50 km/h)
6th (315.56 km/h)
Obviously... I don't know what ratio's or tyre size MD is using, but my figures are spot on, for stock gear and tyre size, giving an indication of the speeds involved with the gear indicator on the dash working in the video below...
Actual speed figures with drivetrain loses and tyre slip on the road surface will be a bit less, than the perfect world calculated figures.

Here's a short teaser, of MD on board the 2017 GSX-R1000 at the IOM TT...
No doubt in the coming days, a full lap of MD on board at the TT, will pop up online...

Superbike spec though so who knows what they've done to it as the rules are far more flexible than the superstock class which is closer to production bike spec... And which BMW still dominates ;P

Unrelated I know, but if we are talking about IOM TT, here is something a bit special too from this year. Hickman having a strap on the new HP4 Race. Damm impressive for a production bike.. All be it a very expensive one. 215HP! No VCT lol

Very nice bit of kit indeed... but so it should be @ $68000 British pounds, so it'll be well north of $120K + in Australia, only 10 units available in Aus.
It's a production bike.... but you can't ride it on the street, race track only...
What are all the cashed up, Cafe Racers going to do...... They'll have to buy a trailer too... Hahaha....

Considering the parts on it it's a bargain for a race bike. Any of the superbikes in the paddock will be worth more. BMW has got the carbon frame manufacturing process down to 2 hours too and automated.

Call it a hunch Macca but I've just got a feeling from this thread that you're a fan of the BMW.

Had Jap bikes in the past mate. As far as an overall package goes BMW is hard to beat. You pay a premium, but you get what you pay for. Then again the new gixxer is commanding BMW money which I think is laughable. But good luck to them if people buy them. I sure as hell won't be downgrading to one though.
