This is a cool vid. Having a bit of fun.
one brand new set of tyres gone there !! haaha awesome
For sale.
Demonstrator kilometres only.
Low km, only driven to the shops and back
How good would it be to get to do a few laps there...
I dont see the point of driving like that doesnt do any thing for me. Ive done quiet a bit of rally driving so not at against a bit of fun and games but drifting around a track like that cant see the point besides wasting tyres. It doesn't take any skill either on a circuit.
^ yeah I am the same, I would love to drive around the track though, cant say I am into drifting... i would be trying to improve my PB lap time and working out the best lines and brake markers etc
just because!
It probably impresses the school boys maybe not the girls though
Dare say if I had one I couldnt bring myself to thrashing it either. Maybe if the tyres were finished for a couple of corners. It would be good to see how fast a lap your could get with the traction, stability on and with all the driving aids turned off.
This car has exhuast, tune and pulley AFAIK.

Well the beast is home.... cant really report much yet, I put it straight into Performance mode and the Auto to Sport and away I went :driving::driving:...
Done all of 60km... but very smooth, very linear and brakes feel solid... haven't tried throwing it about yet still getting used to my line of sight from seating position and will play around with all the gadgets on the weekend. (Love that I can just dial in Wakefield and can go run laps and EDI does all the data for me...)
Dropping off 9.30 for 3M tomorrow then will take it for a decent run on weekend if get a chance, prior to detail and tint Tue then if the weather is fair I will try to get a few photos up if i can remember how to do it and my photobucket is still active
Dealer had mine, 2 whites and a Prussian Steele... to go out this week, the steele looks to have an almost greeny tinge to it, at least under the carport at the dealer
Anyway I like the blue, looks much better in Sun than overcast though
PS
Met QIKMIK out the front of the dealer, thanks for the "pop in" and chat, good to actually meet a forum member
sorry off topic...... again
Is QIKMIK still driving his Barina?
no idea, too busy gas bagging about HSV's :D
He has been a bit quiet of late - normally pass each other doing the school drops haha
We should organise a meet up to put faces to names now theres a few regulars on here
Yep I will be in that
I've got a taxi now, boys. You should know that. The 'ole white Commodore on gas. ;)
A meet would be nice. Isn't there a thread/forum for that somewhere?
Mick
I saw a blue VF SSV Redline in Dickson on tuesday first one in blue ive seen.
More GTS deliveries and no pics??????????????????????????????????????????????
Speaking of which I have seen hardly any of Vultures GTS :stick:
I must say I am really liking the GTS in white with the standard wheels...

Here goes, haven't done this in a long time :)
its not detailed & just got it back from getting the 3M done, so you will notice a few bubbles etc, but I had to put the Paint protection & tint back to Friday to let the 3M settle... anyway I love it  :up2sum:....

Looks even better on the road. She was all cooped up in the dealer's shed when I saw her. Very nice! I reckon PB would've loved 'em.

The blue looks pretty good in the sun. Can you share a few more details on the 3M wrap thing ? Is it mostly to avoid stone chips ? Will the paint protection go over the top of it ? Thanks
The blue would be my pick also, it looks really good... also loving the std rims look much better than the SV wheels. Enjoy :)
Oh the humanity ........... but it's good to know you're safe ;)
http://youtu.be/bI7i5XgATyo
effectively an invisible "wrap" specifically cut the the shape of the front of the car, plus about 1/3 of the way up the bonnet, + the inside of the door handles (they get really scratched after time), and yes the paint protection is then done over the top... I didn't want one of the traditional car bra's as they are a pain in the ar$e and tend to scratch the car anyway
Main aim is to protect against stone chips and other scratches etc
Hopefully this will be worth the money, its so good when I 1st walked up to the car I didnt think he had started on it and it was going to be there another day
I didn't think the blue would look that good with the yellow calipers and badges but I think you have made an excellent choice , I like the sound of the 3M stuff might have to look into that
Thanks, colour choice had me worried for a while, but VERY happy now
Great colour choice, looks mint that colour combo!
and looking at all the other pics of GTS's i have never noticed how severe the lines on the front bar are, until seeing it in the blue, looks tuff!
Enjoy!
Just a quick question about the 3m clear bra, why only go up half the bonnet wont this eventually lift and have grime build up along the edge of the wrap? Was doing research about this product a little while ago and watched a video done by one place and they wrap the whole bonnet and its cut off underneath so that there are no visible edges.
looks awesome, love the colour and the last pic. just watch out for Canberra region drivers. I spent the day in syd in traffic and drove back to Canberra this arvo. as soon as I left the Lake George part of the Federal Highway, I seemed to come across so many crappy drivers, most of whom either cut me off or tailgated me :flip3:
^^ Maccas
yeah good point
honestly, this was the only place locally I could find that did what I was looking for, apparently it wont lift & I have been told (so who knows) that if it gets grime it basically a wipe away
But having said that I am a pioneer on this, so I will report back in 12 months or so... based on most my experiences or "anyone" doing "anything".... most are crap... with the exception of Marcus & Kit at Gentech (free advertising right there)...
I do have a 5 year warranty... just have to read the fine print
