I don't know how you guys deal with an uber-low Stato. My ride height is stock and it still gets the odd scrape at the top of a steep driveway or a stupidly designed speed bump.

you just take them nice and slow and crab over them (take them at a 45 or so degree angle so only 1 wheel hits it at a time) and your usually right:thumbsup:
in other news some bastard put a little scratch in the rear right hand quater on friday :cussing: not to deep but you can still notice it.....Whats worse is the paints only 3 days old:cussing: :cussing:
Having my center mufflers (2 hot dogs) cut out today and replaced with some pipe
Sucks to be my neighbours when i leave for work at 6:30 everyday haha
Hey PhatAs you don't need to get coil overs to fit 20s you can just get em with 225s on the front as i have on mine. Got mine lowered today and they put in some raised front struts so i can fit larger tyres later on... Anyone want to host some pics for me please???
just go to photobucket.com and sign up there. free image hosting
225's are a little skinny on 20's, i want some tyres with some meat on them haha.
Also last week or week b4 my freshly painted bonnet got hit buy a bit of retred on the highway:cussing: not happy. some van in the other lane ran over it and flicked it up.

My barge
http://images.cainer.net//uploads/DSC00889.jpg
Pretty much stock. Has a cat back system that is all drone and not much sound. Will be fixing that up shortly.
18 inch wheels that came off the monaro
Will also be lowered soon.
obviously a man of class there Ziggy. :)
I have some coilovers and Bilstein shocks that will dump that baby really well if your interested.
Thanks voodoo, I dont want to go to low on this one as its the shopping trolley. I still have the shocks from the monaro, all I need is a set of springs as pedders have quoted me $335.00 for 2 new strut bushes ( I think thats what they are called ) and fitting all the supplied bits and align.
If yours will only lower mine by about 25mm then I might be interested.
Nick
Adjustable coilovers up front you can have at any height. Rears are king lows with Bilstein shocks.
Here's my barge i had a couple of years ago. was a 99, gen3, photo's are before it was lowered. internationals, exhaust. Loved that car, handled brilliantly and was dubbed at work, the mafia staff car. 82 year old rev head bought it off me..:werd:

ps........no cause for alarm  ..... BBB 1 is still out to better her 12.52 unopened record... PT having now found a few extra ponies at the rear treads over the summer siesta to call upon ..
how can u grab 14.1 out of a stock LS1 caprice??
Just wanted to post a picture of the wife and my cars, just bought them towards the end of 2006, early christmas presants, the wifes is a WH Caprice 5.7 and I get the VY Berlina V6, should have gone the 8 but I am using it to drive to work and cant afford to run both , but I am regreting not getting the 8, could someone please help me post the picture, I will post more once I start doing somethings to the Caprice, have only changed the speakers so far, but I am looking at an exhaust, wheels, lowering and hopefully an edit
thanks in advance
phil
:hide: rather embrassing point those wheels....untill the good Mr Dicke-Knee pointed out they were HBD optoned from new and matched the HBD plate under the hood, I was about to discard them for 4 spot in favour of some standard Statesman wheels in keeping with sleeper status  ....close call
Mr30L's Barge plus a friend, love the wheels mate!
http://images.cainer.net//uploads/stato+1smaller.bmp
is a tad big but already shrunk it so yeh......
thanks notsostock
judging by your name mr30lt thats ur vl as well nice colection calais and stato best of both worlds
yea they are both my cars, i bought the stato just as a cruiser but i think that wont last long as i already have some big plans for the stato, nothing as major as what i have done and am doing to the VL but yea.
wanna try and pimp this stato out as much as i can, including getting a LS1 edit
Here's mine. Stock at the moment.
Grrr stupid linking rule. How do i post pics?
Try uploading them to: http://photobucket.com/
Then link to them in your post using [ img ]http://link to your image here[ /img ] without the spaces in the img tags of course...
or PM them to me and I'll host them for you.
Cheers
LT.
<mutters> Bloody johnny-come-lately barge bandwagon jumpers with their fast timeslips unopened or with no mods driven by the bloody lane 7 shark grumble grumble... :p
I assume opened will be necessary for 11s, but given there's some pretty mild mannered barges running 12.5s already you're a shoe-in to achieve mid 11s. Geez we could throw you behind the wheel of a certain 300 badged black one that's often at WB and you'd probably get an 11
Cheers

 All roads lead to Comp Cams :driving:
At least I'm on the right track then. My comp goes in on Monday at PT along with the 3000rpm stall. Can't wait :driving:
I have always wondered what a set of those "mesh" style wheels would look like on mine. What size and brand are those wheels and also what size tyres are you running on them?
