Hardly! It's still entirely up to the driver to make the decision if the parking manoeuvre is going according to plan. That means the driver still needs eyes on surrounding objects which includes the nice big curb the car is parking next to. I'm willing to put money down that gutter rash will become more common because people will expect the computer to get it right every time.
It only takes a 2.5-3cm curb to damage rims, and why offer auto-dipping mirrors on ANY model if they're "trumped" as you put it?

Hopefully they come out with a Senator 430 :-D
In the pics none of the cars really do anything for me and honestly I much prefer the look of the E3.
However I will wait to see it in the metal as I am sure the pics do nothing for its proportions

I heard tonight that 200 deposits for vf gts have been put down so far.....not bad $20 million on the order books in a few days.....
I am watching the W427 prices over the next 6 months....

Thank you my friend.... i've been without a high performance car now for around 15 months as i've been waiting for the release of this car.... We all wanted a beast from HSV & we got it... to NOT buy one would be a slap in the face! :)

Thanks Bouka... i doubt that i'll be dissapointed(unless the series 2 comes with paddles :-/ ) but no... this car has all the bells n whistles...& those brakes are just awesome..... & honestly..i think this car will best be enjoyed in a manual..... A set of quality coil overs all round to bring her down a few inches & she'll be one sweet deal! :goodjob:
Re: HSV Gen- F Official Pics and Video Released (Warning: pic heavy)

I was thinking about that earlier. As much as we love to lower our cars to make them look more aggressive, would it be worth it in the new GTS with all the tech bits and engineering gone into the current suspension setup? Is it worth losing all that just to have the car lowered and some generic suspension you buy from a shop?
Also, I'm interested to know if anyone that has ordered a GTS or even just got a quote, if you asked if you could order a GTS with no wing at all? I think the low or high wings both look crap.

Bugger it... I just bought a Captiva!
A white GTS needs to be in my shed next to the Monaro.

Congrats on the order.
As Ghosn wrote, I personally won't be altering the suspension on a GTS if I get one. Too much effort and testing has gone into the setup to change it just for the sake of making it a bit lower. I think the MRC is actually quite good (it was on my Senator and GTS) and by all accounts will be better on the Gen-F cars.
Re: HSV Gen- F Official Pics and Video Released (Warning: pic heavy)
I have my Hyabussa , I have the Harley. Now there is another vehicle on the bucket list next to the 916 Ducati and Y2k(if there is a lotto win), a 430kw Gen-F GTS!
Re: HSV Gen- F Official Pics and Video Released (Warning: pic heavy)
Seems that the base Clubsport and Maloo miss out on some features that Holden's Redline model has - head up display, lane departure warning, forward collision alert. The base HSVs really are povo pack. At least they get decent brakes.
Re: HSV Gen- F Official Pics and Video Released (Warning: pic heavy)
really good to see the GTS with some firepower. Not a fan of the tail lights, reminds me of the toyota /subaru 86/BRZ

I would say that's because the Redline is meant to be Holden luxury/performance and the base Clubsport / Maloo are your entry into LS3 and big braked cars. Would still rather have a pov pack HSV than optioned up SS.
