Fell in love with bike as soon as I saw it and had to have it.

Only get low qual pics atm, will get proper ones up on the weekend after a good clean and polish so stay tuned.
U can see another one of the toys in the background. 08 Holden SSV Ute.

Damn!! That's sexy as hell!! I want one!! But it's gonna be a while before I can ride larger than a 250 :bawl:
Do you take it to the track? I can imagine you rocking up in the ute with the R6 in tow would turn a lot of heads. Love the carbon bits!
Na i only just bought it and getting used to riding it. I do want to take it to the track once I feel comfortable with it.
I would love to see if i can put the R6 in the tray of the ute. I think it will fit with the tailgate down. Scariest bit would be getting it on and off from that height.
I actually purchased a full carbon fibre ferring kit for it that I will be putting on next month. Cost an arm and a leg but will definitely make it stand out.
This is my 08 Honda CRF 450X. Spent a bit extra on it getting it to where i want it.

Mods so far are;
- Black Excel rims
- Krooz Tune modified suspension with Eibach springs
- Bridgestone M404 tyres
- full DRD exhuast system
- Re-jetted to suit pipe
- Pro Taper Windham bars
- Works Connection anodised egine plugs
- Magura hydraulic clutch setup
- Goodridge braided brake lines
- CRF bachplate
- CRF rad guards
- CRF case saver
- Stealth rear sprocket
- RK Gold chain
- Hammerhead shifter
- Decal Works backgrounds
To say that i am impressed with this bike is a gross undestatement. The bike has been nothing short of brilliant since i purchased it last year, and it goes like a scalded cat! Now ive got the suspension all sorted it really is the perfect trail weapon.
Ouch... carbon fairing kits are two arms, two legs, and some nuts :rofl: Awesome that you've got the kit now tho! Post some pics once you stick them on. I may be less wow'd though as I love carbon accents but full on carbon everywhere is not to my taste. Nice to have a lighter bike though :goodjob: Just my opinion but see what you think cos that's the important part! You may prove me wrong and change my mind :rofl:
Yeah, I think the bike will fit diagonally with the tailgate down but the licence plate being on the tailgate is a problem. The cops may not be your friend. Is it legal to jack something up so that the rear licence plate is visible
when the tailgate is down?
You might have to look at a ramp of some kind to get it up in the ute. If you drop the bike on to the carbon fairings, I'd be expecting about a billion pieces and probably some tears or vomit or something :bawl::spew:
I keep looking at your bike... I want one!!!:bow::bow:
My mate just got a KTM 450SXF. He did quite well in his last race esp considering it's basically a brand new bike. It looks like an absolute weapon and I'll bet yours is probably faster with the mods. Very nice! :goodjob:
nice bike I just got a 07 rmz 250 , she is little un loved but i'm working on it , I haven't ridden for over 10 years , since my late teens when I got out of racing and started playing with cars instead and i was sick of always hurting my self .Quote:
This is my 08 Honda CRF 450X. Spent a bit extra on it getting it to where i want it.
nice sheeks, very impressive bike. Got any idea which model 450x's had valve issues??
ive got a wr250r road trail, love it,the fuel injection system is awesome,i changed the rear sprocket to a 46 tooth and it now has heaps of punch in the bush, lacke on the road but it gets me to the shops
i got a 1999 honda ct110 and its frikkin invincible !!!
i'm got a zx6r 2003 kawaka, lime green, hat it from day one, never missed a beat, only mod's ive done is a akra pipe cat eye indicators and fender eliminator.. wicked bike, must say few close calls here in melbourne along great ocean road, damn rocks handing on the road.
1995 Honda Monkey Z50J
1991 Honda Z50
2000 Honda XR100R
2006 Thumpstar PRO 125cc
2005 Honda CRF230F (re-jetted, removed airbox snorkel & exhaut baffles, removed headlight and some othe rlittle mods)
:)
I also have a 2008 crf450x, so happy with this bike. Got full exhaust system, rejetted, high flow airfilter, opened up airbox a bit, quickshot, programmed vortex ignition system with high and low power mode switch. Awesome / fun bike. My weekends just got better.
I also have an old collector 1969 Bultaco Pursang. Runs fine but stays in the house.
The Vortex ignition is great. Obviously make sure you get it programmed. Costs about $100. Are your bars higher then the tag bars?? I was interested in getting bar risers and/or different bars. Your 450 looks great. Mine looks plain as now as I got aftermarket plastics and put the new ones away. This makes allowance for my average riding..lol. Enjoy your bike.
Kawasaki ZX10R 06

first roady was 2000 R1, then 01 VTR SP1, 05 Kwaka Z1000, 07 GSXR1000, currently riding a harley night rod special and a crf motard tho..
I'm between bikes now but I shed a tear when my last bike was sold.
'01 GSX1300R Hayabusa, opened std mufflers, airbox mods, welded clutch (removes back torque limiter), full re-tune on dyno (175 RWHP, up from 159 std), polished rims. I'd dearly love another but I fear I wouldn't live long.

Oh and my previous rides in order, newest first, YZF-1000F, GPZ-900R, VF750F, GPZ-600R, VF400, GPZ-250, PE-175.
shite there are some nice bikes on here!
Better throw up some pictures of my favourite bikes.....
Here is the MFP12. Anyone familiar with Mad Max will understand that reference......its a 2005 Kawasaki ZX12R, with about 165hp at the back wheel. Heaps of mods, Power Commander, 16t front sprocket, timing retard eliminator, full Yoshi exhaust with custom muffler, rearset footpegs......the list is pretty long. Its a great bike, good for about 1'50" at the Creek on standard road tyres and with a fat old b@st@rd on board.....;)

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...kday15Dec1.jpg
This is one of my favourite bikes in the stable - a 1980 Z1000H. It was the worlds first mass-produced fuel-injected motorcycle. I have owned this bike for the majority of its life......don't be fooled by the old-style z900 sidecover badges.....this is actually an EFI 1105cc sleeper.....
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ackpearl15.jpg
there are heaps more bikes in the stable (otherwise known as the 4th dimension ;)) I could rattle on all day about them.
Main reason for joining this site is to tyry and get as much info as I can about the LS1 - I have never owned a Holden with an LS1, but will be installing an LS1 into a Series III XJ Jaguar over the next few months.....
Its great to see a car forum that has a motorcycle sub-section !! :goodjob:
I run a small workshop from home that services and tunes old jap bikes - mainly stuff from the late 60's through to 1985. If I can help anyone here with info about these older jap bikes, just sing out...
cheers

Ducati, why, is there another brand?
I have three bikes.
This one is a K1 GSXR1000 Streetfighter.
Too many mods to list but my favourite things on this are the superbike spec PFM front brake discs and calipers.
This bike has wheelied to 200kmh (see video) in it's previous guise
YouTube - Rocket does a wheelie
This photo taken at the Northam bike show last year, literally straight from the work bench, to the show.
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...1/100_0057.jpg
Another one is this 07 Harley Roadking, pretty much stock except the usual air cleaner, exhuast, tune up mods. This is a great bike.
This pic was taken on the road between Collie and Bridgetown on one of my weekend solo runs I like to take every now and then.
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...r11/alb003.jpg
This one is my Turbo, Intercooled '92 GSXR1216 Streetfighter.
This runs forged WISECO Busa pistons, plus lots of other stuff.
This bike will literally wheelstand in any gear with it's stock wheelbase. I have had this bike picking up the front wheel at 230kph at the Kwinana dragstrip in top cog. A complete animal, the engine is just about to be refitted after a quick strip to check it over and fix some leaky gaskets.
This pic was taken at a photo shoot for Rapid bike magazine a while back.
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...r11/LHS_14.jpg
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...r11/RHR_18.jpg
None of these bikes look as shiny as these pics anymore.
Especially the green one which has been hammered in all sorts of weather, down the drags, on the backroads, everywhere.
Suzuki M50 for me :)
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...e/DSC_0975.jpg
2009 848 Ducati for me ..
Just started riding so 09 Ninja 250r in green of course
Not sure if Ive got pics of my harley here or not
2006 softail with stroked motor, custom heads etc etc
http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...rleyMacca1.jpg
what cam are you running, mine goes in next week for a cam upgrade & tune, Im not sure what to go for yet!!!!!!!
Im running S & S 585 gear drive cams so I could do away with the chain adjuster which can be high maintenance with hot cams (so Im told)
Bike has a very sharp crisp idle - you can tell that the cams are pretty serious from the sharpness of the idle:smilesandbanana::smilesandbanana:
