Is the only way to post pics on here through a web hosting service?..dammed annoying if it is..hate that way of posting..I have gotten up to page 70 of this thread..and many pics are missing that were hosted..hopefully there is another way..if not..the site needs to be updated to be able to directly upload pics..

There are plenty of forums that allow users to upload pics..has more to do with site coding..nothing to do with money..web hosts go bust all the time..so its in the forums own interests to have the pics on the site..go and check all the early pages of this thread..HEAPS are missing..Quote:

The early posted images have disappeared because they were posted over 4 years ago, many on the image server supplied and paid for by one of the forum Moderators Haroc. People went overboard with image sizes, hotlinking on other sites etc and costs of running it skyrocketed, so it was closed down.

I just don't appreciate it when someone, who has been a member for a relatively short time, comes on and starts commenting about how the site should be run, without knowing anything about the forum financials, what has been tried before and removed etc. in the many years before they joined.
It may be more of a hassle for you to upload to Photobucket and then post the link here, but as I said before, unless you are willing to put up the $$ for the extra bandwidth yourself, that how it has to be.
