Ohh yeah, you wouldn't go backyard job on ya pride and joy but I reckon joining the HSV Owners Club and participating in a drive day equals certain death to extended warranty. I wonder if you would be covered by Australian Consumer Law?

Niiiiice :) Is that its natural shine or is there some paint protection going on there?
I negotiated a 6 year GM warranty on my 2016 after complaining the 3 years was out of touch with other manufacturers.
As far as warranties go on HSV drive days.
I had a 3 month old VE Clubsport with a very noticeable head and cam package among other mods have a clutch let go on the skid pan and warranty covered it.
Also a 2 week old tuned VE Ute had a fuel pump fail on the skid pan on a Holden dealer day out and it was also covered under warranty.
A good relationship with your dealer is worth its weight in gold.
I’d never pay for an extended warranty as too many conditions apply.
Blue one isn't mine! I don't think it has paint protection on it as the owner told me he bypassed the upselling department!
He was going to put some sort of fancy wax on the car later by himself.
They were only out the dealerships 24 hours before that photo was taken.
Speaking of paint protection, I like how the dealers show you the example of the metallic chip paint vehicle in the showroom of half the bonnet done & the other not!
had it done on mine, though after it's first wash last week I'll be speaking to them about it.
All those Holden extra "protection products" are a complete waste of time and money.
All they are, are a super easy money grab for the dealers, to get a couple extra grand out of you, to empty more of your wallet with the tick of a pen, from the young pretty sale chick trying to sucker you in.
When I bought my VXSS brand new, after I did the deal with the salesman, they transferred me to this young pretty sales chick selling all the protection products.
After her 15 mins sales pitch, and me asking exactly what they do for each of their $1000 protection products, that they just spray on in 2 mins (Paint / Corrosion / Interior), I said No Thanks...
Seriously.... $3000 for some magic potion spray on crap, that costs them next to nothing, No way...
She thought, she had me suckered with all my questions, but couldn't believe it when I refused Everything........
Hahaha.....
In that case it probably would have been covered depending on policy, but a lot of the aftermarket warranty joints want photos of stuff like that before they'll approve the claim (to prove signs of no abuse). The dealership has to cover their arses in the case of a declined claim though, that's why they get the customer to approve costs of disassembly just on the off-chance it's declined. It's a no-win for the dealer really.
