Just flushed the power steering with a litre of Penrite. Thought that would do the trick but it still looks a bit dirty. Will get another bottle tomorrow and do it again.
On a side note, I have plugged my OBD2 dongle into the port under the steering wheel and no matter what I try I cannot get it to communicate with the app on my phone. Have even tried a couple of different apps with no joy. My phone does not even see it as a blue tooth device. Have had the same device and phone in the VE previously with no issues.
I use my ELM327 bluetooth with my phone on my SS very often
but I use a cable to the laptop on my Ford as it is useless & will not hook up by bluetooth with the phone.
Ford has a brilliant OBDII connection called FORScan

You can even program your own keys with it. :yup:
Do the LEDs light up on the dongles or they dead when you plug them in?
Knocked off at lunch time and straight into the next lot of jobs: Got the coolant flushed and changed with new header tank. The old one was filthy and the coolant was a pale pink at best so not sure how old it was or how concentrated it was when put in. Did the t/b bypass whilst at it, pretty simple whilst the cooling system is drained. Also finished off the two hole mod, that fkn pipe that snakes down behind the headlight is a kent of a thing to get out and I hope I never ever have to do another :) I forgot how much intake roar it give when you get up it, worth the effort for sure. Also fixed a couple of leaks from trans pipes that had loose clamps.
Edit: Yes I forgot to secure that clamp on the headers tank before going for a test drive, and yes it made more work for me cleaning up the mess of coolant that sprayed out.
Intake side of the house now complete :)
Looking good Rod!
Solid thread to create some inspiration for me to get my SS 50 out of the shed and running (nicely)!
