Fpv gt rspec

I checked this out at Brocky's Big Day Out. Loks the goods and sounds pretty tough also.

i totally agree..and ill raise you people are blind aswell. I mean people support some dodgy comfort biased review against a car that is the fastest aus has ever seen(by alot mind you) and dont flinch when it looses because it competitor handles smoother. PLENTY, thats what the mazda 3 class is for...people who want slow efficient cars....not fast roomy sedans. One second people agree the hsv won...then there saying that hsv will step up and catch up with their next model...

oh and plenty... im sure as a keyboard warrior like urself would allready know my last vehicle was an R8 and my twin bro has a GT335...so i think for your info i can comment at a non biased level without having to explain myself to you.

oh and plenty youve stopped suprizing me now...suggesting to take price out of a comparo with a car near half its price. Why would you do that????? If thats what it cost hsv to get a car round a track at "said time" then thats what it costs.

Reading Wheels seems Ford is very quick (around 0-100 4.5s) . HSV is more every day car where as FPV is track focused.

FPV receives more attention. Would you want more attention (eg Police)?

We should be glad we have such a great selection in Australia. Competition between two brands brings better and better cars.

Seems both brands need to put more work into getting power to the ground. I wonder is at a point where more power doesn't make much difference? Probably more from stand still.

Is it that's part of the definition of a Muscle car? More power than you need to over power the chassis. Toyota 86 could be seen as on other side of spectrum, not enough power to take full advantage of the chassis.

Interior is plain as ever, very poor for a performance car.

A performance car is not a straight line dragster like some narrow minded people believe, it's so much more than that and the HSV clearly on this and multiple other occasions has proved its the better car.

Having driven both quite extensively myself the HSV is easily the better drive, especially when there is corners and hard stops involved.

Actually a HSV GTS with the 6 piston brakes stops from 100km/h - 0km/h in around 35 meters....... i would say not to far off that Jap crap you always talk about.

This is between FPV and HSV not a Mitsubishi or Subaru.....

Find me a new car that weighs 1800Kg + that cost less than $90 000 with the straight line speed and handling of the two Aussie cars. Oh and has room to load up with 5 adults and luggage to suit!

Apples with apples for what they are, they both handle very well..... And it's been said before the HSV does it better!

15 pages of bullsh#t, the new GT stock, not the R-Spec, is doing mid 12's for about 70k and that is as quick as the W427 priced at 100 and whatever k. This is the new benchmark in performance, get over it.

Exactly....as in Plenty's post 219...exactly.
But having said that, I ain't a wrap for the HSV 25th Anniv. car either.....and, regardless of whether some on here bother to read motoring magazine road tests because they consider themselves better "judges" than motoring journos, I shall be very interested to read the comparison between these two cars when it happens...and surely it will?...
