That's my opinion too.
You don't need to warm it up to get it to idle so all you're doing sitting there is heating the coolant up. The engine oil, tranny fluid and diff oil will still all be cold.
Driving at low throttle and rpm is a more efficient way of warming everything up.

Those silver rims look fantastic, much better than the black. Very nice.

Yeah disappointing GM are pushing black rims, whilst my SSV rims looks great though offsets leave no room for brake upgrade, unless I go the Harrops.

Are they the vossen cv5? can you PM what size you got? im looking at getting the exact same rims on my VF ute also, would love to know what offset etc actually fits. Do you have the Brembos also?

Those silver rims really do look good much better than the black, gives the whole car a lift, very nice.

Thanks for the compliments.

I'm no fan of black rims and agree the dark red looks better without them.

The silver pops the colour instead of making it look dirty.

The colour came out on the series 1 VF and a lot of people don't like it.

I initially was going to get white as it really suits this model but it was becoming so popular I had a change of heart.

I wasn't sure myself about it but I had a vision of how it would look with silver rims and decided to take the risk and order it as I was also trying for a colour not too many would chose.

It changes colour from dark red in the shade to an orange fleck in full sun and many shades inbetween.

It's call 'Some Like It Hot Red'.

Yes these are the Vossen CV5 and yes the car has the stock Redline Brembo brakes.

The CV5 comes in three different finishes and I chose the silver and polished centres.

The specs are:

Front: 20x9 with a +35 offset
Rear: 20x10.5 with a +42 offset (Deep Concave)

I’m considering lowering the front by another 15mm and the rear by another 30mm to sit the guards down on the tyres, I’ll drive it around for a week or two before I decide and of cause the rear guards have been rolled.

I have the upgrade brakes on mine and although they are single pot, they are not too bad for the low outlay. Not sure if it included a different master cylinder or not.
A friend has a stock VF SSV and he was a bit surprised how much better the upgrade brakes are.
