Absolutely Davo. Its the first time in a long time that the Aussie public arent being ripped blind by the manufacturers on a decent new car. Kudos for Toybaru being brave enough to look into the future on that one

I've found it depends on the nerd, I know one with a completely stock accord euro and on the other end one with a ssv wagon cammed and a turbo satria gti track/motorkhana car
My hairdresser had an xr6t and traded it on a maloo, go figure
I had the option of buying an 86 instead of my CV8 monaro... Chose the Monaro due to the obvious reasons, aswell as in a few years time the 86 will just be another import on the roads mostly driven by P platers/ douchey guys/ hairdressers. IMO there arn't many skylines/silvias/wrx's on the roads that make me think "wow, that guy is cool!" or "That's a cool car"

Certainly not a Hairdresser’s car in the vain of old Celica towards end of it’s life also known as “all show and no go”.
It’s designed from scratch as a drivers car at a great price. It’s the most highly acclaimed this year.
Comparing V8 Holdens with 86 is not comparing apples with apples.
Haha. I'm a bit of a computer nerd. But also a tradie with a modded hilux and modded ve senator. Don't tar me with the same brush.
Not everyone is into cars ... I have a client that earns 7 figures a year, he just bought a demo CX5 for < $40K. Another client that has a private airstrip on his property outside of Noosa, a hanger with 5 planes in it and he drives an 11 year old POS Hi-Lux.
Can't always judge income / wealth by the car someone drives.
Back to the car ... I've read a few comments bagging the factory tyres, what's your opinion of them Martin? Crap or not as bad as the journos are making them out to be?
