Having seen the VF SS on the dyno auto, seeing around 17% driveline losses, I'd say thats very low. I agree with Drizt, 340ish.

I'm sure there's an explanation for the low figure? Hopefully the GTS puts down a lot more power than that...
Normally rwhp roughly equals fwkw depending on if its auto or manual so 430 fwkw should be roughly 430 rwhp.
and 430rwhp is about 320rwkw
Hopefully a little earlier but nobody is sure.
I'm hoping it will be making 577hp. Lets hope the GTS is putting down more power on a mainline dyno than that Caddy! It sounded very quiet.
There is more than one version of the LSA too remember, a 415 and 430kw version.
You'd think the 415kw LSA would be putting out more than 290rwkw though? Even so, i'm more surprised by the limited gain through the tune... Base figures aside, i'd be hoping it would respond to a tune more than that. The Ford forced induction cars all pick up a lot of power/torque, whether they be the 6T or SC 8...
I expected the GTS to put out about 330rwkw and have the potential of adding another 40-50rwkw with a tune... I recall some one (macca maybe) saying that the SC size is the limiting factor for getting more power out of them tuned. I'd still expect more than what the Caddy got though... Interesting times ahead!
The comments below the vid explains the minimal gains
This is the first in a series of tweaks & upgrades we will be doing to the LSA.
The changes made to the tune were minimal & very conservative - the runs & results shown set the baseline "before".
Over the coming weeks we will increase boost, improve airflow, fuelling, exhaust, & calibration. There is a lot of scope with these engines ...
Fun times ahead!
One of the biggest issues with the CTS-V is that it has a very restrictive exhaust, which is one of the first things we are changing. Unfortunately, because it is the only RHD CTS-V in the world, we have to design & manufacture everything! Possibly the GTS will not have such a restrictive exhaust. Thus the reason why it sounded so mute on the dyno.
Ls3 with a mild cam and tune is over 300kw......
Let's just wait and see.
That's what I thought (with the exhaust) as it sounded very quiet on the dyno.
400m times will be interesting and the CTS-V doesn't disappoint there and it's possible the GTS may even be quicker.
Will get my manual GTS on the dyno with PowerTorque for a baseline as soon as I get it. :headbang:
Not sure I would be doing anything with it other than a tune.
Theirs is a Mainline (AWD) as well.
Stock ZL1s are getting from 340rwkw to 350rwkw
So all the speculation about a car only a few have seen and even fewer driven is that it is a let down? Guess the naysayers have it right. I will ring up now and cancel my order. NOT.
