Re: Warning - Quadrant suspension fail
Thats just not nice.. not nice at all.
Re: Warning - Quadrant suspension fail
This is a major issue and will need to recall all the cars which have had this done. At that workshop anyway.

Yep. That's why I posted here. Quadrant are one of the few Bilstein agents as I understand.
Seriously, this could affect quite a few out there if it's not an isolated case. Pass on the info to anyone who may have used them.
Check your welds.
I dropped the other strut this arvo and it looks TOTALLY different in terms of quality. Actually looks reasonable.

lol off topic but a Galaxy S4 let alone an S5 will out last an Iphone..... No dramas.
Anyway that welding is horrendous, definitely an afternoon get it done job.
Re: Warning - Quadrant suspension fail
Its pretty much shows right away they have failed big time with there quality management system if they have one at all

I have both. Put the Vaseline away.
Re: Warning - Quadrant suspension fail
Yeah mate definately not a good look, glad no one was injured. I'm sure these guys will put it right so let's not flame em too hard yet. The guy that did the weld and let it go like that certainly needs to take a good hard look at himself.
Re: Warning - Quadrant suspension fail
Looks more like a pigeon shat on it. The weld itself is bad enough however the failure or it would appear absence of quality control is a real concern. Good to know the other side looks ok. Scary stuff.
Re: Warning - Quadrant suspension fail
What could they possibly say to explain that - I look forward to hearing how they explain it ;)
Just plain poor
Re: Warning - Quadrant suspension fail
Subscribed... Curious to see what Quadrant come back with?

I blame technology! This would never have happened before the iPhone ;)
Too right! :lmao:
See what happens when people try to weld struts and post status updates of when they last picked their nose to their adoring "friends" during work time...:slap:
To the OP, hope it gets resolved. Not the sort of thing anyone wants to see, but as we all know (well, most know), anything manufactured can fail, as "mere" humans are involved...

Same here. I'm very proficient with a MIG and I do own a DC TIG but I just don't do enough of it to ever get a good repeatable result.
Somewhat ironically I can reproduce the TIG "stack of dimes" effect with the MIG fairly accurately. But it's just not the same! :)
