Sounds like pretty good service there then !! :yup:
Thanks for this info buddy, I'm stressing out about getting my nice shiny brand new rims and tyres fitted
Cheers :)
I would impress upon them that they are brand new. Mine have only just come from having all the gutter rash repairs and repainting done, so I stressed it to them.
Also, if the wheels ever do get scratched, Craig from Wicked Wheels in Queanbeyan is a genius at wheel repair.
Sure will be don't worry about that. They're all still in their boxes with fabric covers on them too so that should alert them also. And that's besides the anxious look and demeanour I'll likely be displaying !!! But I also intend to have the conversation with the boss/manager about how much it will cost them to replace them if they are scratched or damaged in any way.
Yes I've heard and read many good reports about Craig at Wicked Wheels. Seems he is a bit of a legend. The current wheels I'm replacing on my car are 20" HSV Pentagons. 3 of them have some minor gutter marks/ scrapes that, when my new rims have been fitted I intend to go out and see Craig about, and dependant on price, get them repaired and then sell them.
Out of interest and if you don't mind me asking, what did he charge you per rim for your repairs. PM me if you'd prefer of course though.
$450 to do all 4 and they were pretty well wrecked. I was stoked with that price, and his quality of work.
Another nod to Gummy if you need your wheels repaired. Had all four of my R8's fixed and resprayed by him and was very happy with the job.
Bridgestone in Belconnen next to the Shell are also very good. Very careful with the car, no scratches and very professional
Thanks for that TI. Mine aren't wrecked so hopefully will be a fair bit cheaper.
Cheers GR346 !!
I had a couple of bad experiences with Jax in Queanbeyan when I still had my VY.
I've heard good things avout Northwest, but use my local mechanic who always seems to do a good job.
