Yep. Not possible this side of Disneyland. More like 250-270rwkw

It will easily make those numbers on a $400 tune!
A lot of guys were trying to help point you in the right direction in the other thread, not saying the cam you've purchased is no good or anything but I think you need to do more research and look at real world results.
No idea what the VCM grind is either but if it's close to what you were looking at with 230+ duration, I'd be looking at diff gears and a high stall before putting it in. It will obviously run with the cam but will likely be a bit lazy down low and try to push thru the brakes.
Maybe they mean at the flywheel?
Yep good heads & cam on a M6 to net 3 hunge @ the wheels on a 5.7L :yup:
I have a vx ss 110k 232/234 cam 3000 stall twin 2.5 exhaust short 4 into 1 genie extractors fast intake setup heads 241 just mild port around valves 11.0 comp magnum pro lifters luntani double springs etc etc. AFter going to a few places to finnaly get the tune right on a mainline made 312rwkw 760nm thats with the standard 4l60e with tranny cooler that was a few years ago i still have the car and box is strong as ever. See guys blowing up 4l60e with just otr tunes. I have always used 3rd for wot never in overdrive and dont change manually.
that cam you picked up I got 285rwkw in my manual VX, no heads.
Yep, no way 300rwkw through an auto with an LS1 with standard heads. I made that with an auto L98 (6.0L) with a much bigger cam than that with tickled heads. A bigger TC is a must too as others have mentioned.
dont forget to add in the cost of a stall converter with that size cam. I was waiting for you to mention driveline before commenting on it. Hi stall a must as with that size cam you are going to be creeping at every set of lights
true i was at 370rwhp with standard heads some porting around valves hit 400. comes down to tuner to there are some shit ones out there
Sorry for making a new post. Pretty new to this whole thing.
They have dyno sheets from an otherwise stock LS1, manual obviously, 241 heads, and pretty basic mods apart from that. making 402hp at the wheels, I know the owner fairly well, so unless they have a fairly "happy" dyno. You guys seem positive its not possible. So I guess he's been jibbed.
I'm coming from an ITB fed VY 1 tonner with a cammed 383, AFR heads, and everything around it supported, I didn't build the motor. And due to apparently stock SCAT rod bolts not being the strongest things out there, it didn't survive a long time.
2500 slingshot converter sorry guys. I know its a little small but hopefully its enough to get it off the line quicker than a stock job.
So realistically I'll see 250rwkw without too much of an issue?
As others have said a realistic 300rwkw you would need heads. Have seen plenty of dyno sheets with 220 cams supposedly making 300rwkw but mph at the track tells a different story.
Dont get too wrapped up with the dyno figure, you should see between 260 and 280rwkw but it just a tuning tool and they can make it read whatever, see how it drives and run it at the strip to get a better indicator.
As above, don't get hung up on the peak figure. Should be a nice combo when it's all said and done
