Thanks for the heads up, that will make it easier to find a match as well. Just to confirm though, you would have just done a straight swap of the seats and bases (ie entire seat and base out and replaced with SS item)? I assume the Berlina does not have electric adjustment on drivers seat? That is my other dilemma, with the Calais having electric drivers seat, do I try and swap the bases (which I am not even sure is possible) or just do as my wife suggested, do away with the electric part and just have a manual adjusting seat again. I sort of see her point as I am not overly hooked on the electric seat, not something I am going to miss greatly I think.

Straight swap change over seats. Years ago but pretty simple from memory. Yep Berlina is manual adjustment. Think you would end up with a plug just no used but maybe check before buying.
Re: VE SS Seats into VE Calais
There is a complete set on Ebay, https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FULL-SET...4AAOSw6VNbD1Mr
Very easy to fit, I did mine in about a hour by myself.. Hardest part was actually unplugging the loom to the seats lol, otherwise, there is just a couple of bolts.. I also fitted all new plastics, the seats came with plastics already attached, but were a bit second hand etc.. If you do decide to order, specify new plastics where possible etc..
If I were doing it again now, I would use the VF GTS seats in the front and probably go the diamond stitch etc.. Looks better..
Re: VE SS Seats into VE Calais
Seriously thinking of getting the Pro seat setup that Simon linked above (in charcoal grey, not two tone). What is the difference between 4 and 8 way adjustable seats? I think my Calais is 8 way? The pro seat ones are 4 way but can be 8 way at extra cost (not sure how much extra).
Re: VE SS Seats into VE Calais
Also, how much better are the VF GTS seats over the VE GTS? Are they a big enough improvement to pay extra for seat frames to suit them?

Those 2 tone things! :spew::spew::spew:
I wouldn't be spending so much of my money with an unknown quality, interstate, ebay seller Rod. :nono:
There are a few decent quality motor trimmers around locally if you wanted that sort of stuff. :yup:

Fair call Ed, I thought Pro seat had a pretty good reputation? Might do some looking around see what is available locally :)
And yes, the 2 tone ones pictured are bloody horrible lol.

Yes, that Pro seat seller has 62 positive feedbacks in total.
Only 9 sales over the past 12 months, mostly have been much cheaper items sold.
Feedback is only given once, that's normally the day something arrives, can't give more feedback if stitching comes apart or something else is wrong 3 months afterwards.
I am not knocking their work but Queensland is a heck of long way for you to go for any warranty work.
But..... I would still rather something in a used, good quality, genuine HSV item.

That was my original intention Ed, I didn't really want a full replacement interior, but it seems anything HSV is going to cost you a kidney :(
Anyone you recommend in Adelaide Ed? Is it possible to get the current seats redone?

Would definitely prefer that, just finding someone that can do it is the thing. Can you buy the GTS foams from Holmart and get them trimmed and put on current frames?

You can, there are a few trimmers on various fb groups who do that, not sure in SA though?

There is a guy who runs a business called "Cool Trimming"
He is on F/B https://www.facebook.com/Cool-Trimming-591608937597296/
I have never used him but plenty of people from Street Machine Association of South Australia who I know praise his work.
(I have met him a few times around the traps though, he is heavily into the custom car scene.)
I believe he is on your side of town.
Re: VE SS Seats into VE Calais
But........
I would personally be more inclined to buy something like this on ebay...
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-V...HsV:rk:10:pf:0
That should also be easy enough for you to go & have a look at.
