Correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I was aware series 1 VZ LS1 manuals came out with 3.73 gears as opposed to 3.46 gears on previous models?
the vz ss utes came standard with 3.46. the sedans 3.73.
Cheers Alex, I though the sedans did, and wasn't aware the utes didn't. I changed my gears from 3.46 to 3.91 and the difference is huge in the lower end, but the top gears and cruising speeds etc... it didn't really make much difference
The L76 manuals have now gone back to 3.46 gears. I guess Holden figures the lack of low end torque issue is sorted :)
Who cares about 6th gear? isnt it just there for economy anyway.
How many use 6th gear down the quarter mile? Even with 4.11s you wint see 6th gear anyway?
