First bike was a Yamaha 250 LCJ first of the liquid cooled, due to the 250cc limit I had to have the fastest at the time.
Next was a Honda 900 ( could hear it for miles, would get lots of EPA notices these days)
Then XR 200
Then KLR 600
Now 1995 HD Fatboy
Hey here is a Blast from the past: My first Road registered, Bike was a 1968 a65 650 Bsa,Twin, It had a glass tank and clipons( handle bars) it was a cafe racer mock up with mostly Paul Dunstall gear, it was easy to remember the Reg, PS 013, post script information (013) qldrs will understand what I mean.
And the last was an F1 750 (cb 750) four & of course 810 yoshimira. kit. Just sold recently to a friend and Collecter.
And the bikes I had inbetween such as an earlier Gold flash 650 pre unit BSA, Chopper, Stars and stripes, and then an 'Electric start' (WOW) Triumph Trident 750
I had some pretty Nifty 2 strokes, but I really doubt that anyone here would have heard of them:lol: I will try one... how about a 500 'R' Model Suziki Titan??
These 2 strokes were not really appreciated much around where I came from lol
2001 R6.... would be new R1 or FZ1N if I could afford it.

lol I still miss my monster s.p aswell.
I always get a twinge of regret when I sell a bike but that Duke was special, completely rebuilt from the ground up at a cost of $18000 in 1992. it was gorgeous and great to ride...:bawl: Had an Imola tank 40mm pumper carby's, Imola cam, the deepest silver paintwork, Italian leather on the seat, genuine conti's and Borrani rims...cost a fortune to buy back these days.
Yep, I agree with that :)Quote:

Anyone got any experience with Super Motard's. Whats the go? KTM (640) or Other?
Cheers,
SuteS
I had a WR400 turned into a SuperMoto for me by SA Dirtbikes, just sold it though. Compared to the KTM version it's a bit harder (suspension, vibes, power delivery) but the KTM is a purpose built job by the factory so they deliberately went for the softer version than say a 525 EXC with Supermoto bits. The KTM is an excellent bike though, perfect for dicking about in the city, honestly they're the most fun you can have without fear of losing your license for speeding. You may lose it for doing monos and stoppies however.Quote:

you can always do what I didn and make one yourself, about $2000 for wheels and $1500 for the front brake and caliper on any bike you like.
Okay, here's some pics of the SuperMoto I just sold and of my Ducati...it's got new tyres now, this pic is a bit behind the times.

had a YZF 600 thundercat for 8 years:sleep: traded it in for a new 05 Hayabusa. stock for now. had it 5 weeks, rear wheel has done just under 3000k, front wheel only done about 2000k........not sure how that happens !!
Heh, heh, front wheel in the air, rear wheel spinning. That's how that happens!
Here's mine, some of you Guys might have had one of these when you where a kid.
1977 Model XR75 'Red Devil' chassis number 0666
Totally original, original tyres, chain, sprokets, spark plug etc.
As new condition (sorry about the crappy pic quality), it lives in my lounge room, and no it's not for sale.

First and only road bike I have owned.
K4 Suzuki GSXR600. In the "rare" black and orange.
Only mod so far is the Yoshi can ($400 delivered from USA / Ebay). More than enough power for a novice like me.
Bling includes a fender eliminator (not pictured) & black screen.

Good to see there isn't the anti-motorbike mentality in here like the anti-car mentality in some bike forums I visit.
K4 600s seem to be pretty rare in any colour but that's definitely the only black/orange one I've ever seen. When I bought my K4 1000 it took almost a year to see another identical one, now you see them everywhere :( Bugger.
I *did* have a 2003 GSXR-750. Binned it 1 lap after this photo was taken :( New baby that arrived shortly afterward and corresponding changed priorities meant I haven't replaced it... yet :)

Which is kind of nice having something uncommon.
And even more rare, the above photo is with the K5 black gixxer6 in the background.
looks good kinda toll racing colours
1994 RED Honda VFR 750
I reckon the best looking in the whole VFR Range. Based the NR750 look. But I would LOVE to get my hands on a RVF750rr yum yum

Have a look in the current issue of Motorcycle Trader, someone in SA is selling an RVF 750, bargain too considering rarity and original price. I'd like to see a couple of Yamaha R7's getting sold but I think every single one went racing.Quote:

I have a Yamaha WR 450 Enduro. A Staintune pipe is all I've done. Its an 04 so it has the electric start. No more de-comp levers and kick back just push the button and go.
yes but i alway look on the conservitive side of things, plus the way it deliveres the power is smooth and not savage. like some others of ridden.Quote:
