Dealerships would also be happy just to have one sitting in their showroom as a draw card to help get people to look & walk in.

GTS Maloo technique was a disgrace, with many dealer principals buying and instantly putting them on carsales +$50k.
Were these real enthusiasts? Was this really a great idea? They should be available upon order to stop this nonsense, though I am not sure how successful the scampers were since there have been a couple for sale around $90k for some time. Of course after paying stamp duty to acquiring a car with less rego, less warranty than a new one it is still hard to justify ponying up when a Maloo R8 can be had with same drivetrain brand new for less in the near future.

There were rumors of the SSV's having an optional upgrade to the LSA, any more word on that with the recent release?
A lot of dealers over here have offered it on the series 1's. Essentially the conversion is done by Actives but you can still order it off the floor from the dealer with the conversion done and full warranty (unsure if that's honoured by Actives or Holden, probably the former).
I could see you in one of those John

I think it depends on the dealership. I couldn't wait another year so no longer an issue for me either but it would have been very frustrating to be told no because this is my first HSV. On the other hand I kinda get it also....but it shouldn't be the dealership placing that restriction imo. Leave it to HSV, maybe via a special code on their website (via frequent buyers club), if they genuinely want to reward previous buyers by giving first dibs (ie code prioritises the order). That at least reduces dealership manipulation.
if they sell like the W427 did you wont have any trouble geting one
