Yes, they've had that plate for a few years appearing on different cars, from memory they had it on a supercharged Monaro, and later VE cars.

Aerial in the rear windscreen like the monaro would fix that antenna.

Grange doesn't really count as it's had bi-xenon since '06. Nonetheless you raise a good point that applies to the entire SWB line-up.
The main features I expected like radar cruise control, automatic emergency braking and HIDs have been shunned in favour of relatively weird stuff like auto-parking. I'll cross my fingers Holden know what they are doing.

After years of big wings etc I was getting sick of them but the bigger wing suits the GTS IMHO. It also differentiates it from the other models, there's otherwise almost no visual difference other than the slightly different front bar with no fog lights and lower placement of the LED DRLs. Most people probably won't notice the brakes and wheels as easily.
Re: HSV Gen- F Launched - Official Pics/Video and details (Warning: pic heavy)
I'm a bit older than you gou guys but I've always been a fan of the boot lid lip spoiler and for me the smaller R8 spoiler looks less flamboyant. But it is purely a personal thing and I am pleased HSV offer either as no cost options. I wanted a Senator spoiler on my E2 R8 and couldn't get the dealer to sell me one so I put the gold plated Walkinshaw spoiler on. That looks classy to me as does the smaller wing on the GTS. Horses for courses. I don't like the three blade effect wheels either hence the SV wheels. Again a no cost option. I haven't actually seen these in the flesh but the few photos on the web I can find seem to be ok. The photoshop I did are 25th anniversary wheels so the brakes will fill the SV wheels out more than the picture suggests too.
I don't know what the consensus is about the Gen F wheels but I don't like many of them, I think the love affair with the tri lobe thing has gone on too long. HSVs generally had good looking wheels but from E2 on the wheels aren't so attractive nor do they set the car off like a wheel should. In my opinion the W427 wheels on my R8 are perfect. Simple is good I reckon. Anyway time will tell.

Think of the aero properties with wings too. Read it somewhere a little while ago. But a VE with a boot spoiler was the most inefficient commodore of them all as far as drag co efficient goes
Edit
VL Commodore = 0.43
VL Group A Walkinshaw = 0.32
VN Commodore = 0.34
VN Group A = Less than 0.30
VT Commodore = 0.32

VX Commodore = 0.329
VX Commodore SS Spoiler = 0.354
VY Commodore = 0.319
VY Commodore S Spoiler = 0.326
VY Commodore SS Spoiler = 0.334

So that explains the lousy fuel consumption! And here I was blaming 6.2L of LS goodness and my right foot!

lol even though to a degree that impacts fuel economy and top end speed on a track for the most part i personally wouldn't care, i think the cars look good with that distinction, i chuckle to myself every time i drive past a VE SS with the rear wing removed, and think it's a $45,000 car but looks like a $33,000 Omega.
Just my opinion and if we all had the same one it would be a very boring hybrid Prius world!
