Did anyone notice the gen f R8 SV performance times published in wheels mag?
Manual 340 kw did 4.9 0-100 and 13.2 1/4 at 177 klm.
That's 110.6 mph!
Bring on more reviews and the gts times.

The guages are cheap that low down to almost being pointless, other than that they liked it a lot. They reckon in isolation it's very hard to pick the extra power but driven side by side the power advantage is clear. The other thing is the noise it makes. Must sound good with that bi modal exhaust and air in take.

I suggest that much of the "sound" is in the air intake. Nothing new there....took a mate for a ride in our VZ GTO years ago....gave it some stick....he said, "it's got a good note"...I said, "I wish"...put ya head out the window...he couldn't hear any note at all..why....cause it's a "tuned" intake "note"...but it sounds just like a good exhaust "note".
Lots of manufacturers do the same thing.
Cheers, Pickles.

Compared to what? A supercharged FPV GT has only recorded a 5 sec flat for Wheels!
Some people have their expectations set way to high, setting themselves up for disappointment.

The Bi-Modal on the E3 was pretty good for a stock car, not C63 good but good none the less.
Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 2
Wonder if the 'orange wire mod' for the E series bi modal will be possible, would think so but who will be the first to tinker?

And some people expect "Bang for buck". You would want plenty of Bang for plenty of Buck.

The driveline is the same as the VE how much bang can you expect for the same money with all the extra fruit in the car as well? Like is said people are expecting too much. With very little more power they have got it under the 5 sec mark.
Same money, more fruit and under the 5's good going if you ask me.
