Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics- Part 2
Have to say while I like the spoiler on the SV I don't like it painted body colour, at least on the white. Is that plastic infill panel that is photographed the scuttle? Poor attention to detail for sure.
Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics- Part 2
Yes I took that photo of the rear near the lights, but that wsnt the only problem, the gap at the front where the bonnet meets the grill and lights is another place, the edges of the bumper bar where they meet the bottom of the front head lights and also the front doors where they meet the front fender and A pillar where the mirror sits. I went and sussed two other Gen F and they had the same problem. went and looked at a Calais V and SS V and no problem, fitment and finish was great and one of them was a Calais V in white.

This is a worry considering we the public are paying a premium over the Holden product for a so called premium product :hmmm:
Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics- Part 2
That moment your windscreen won't pass roadworthy due to 'sandblasting' (lots of little chips) before trading in.
Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics - Part 4
Gains on a VF SSV with Ramjet OTR and tune.....nice gains on 91 fuel.....

Unfortunately the one test they didn't do is the one I'm personally interested.
Stock + Tune
vs.
OTR + Tune
Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics - Part 4
3.9% gain over stock with ramjet no tune
6.1% gain with tune after ramjet
So 10% gain for approx. $1,500 ?

Yes, but what would be the gain with a tune and no ramjet?

I sometimes wonder how much power a brand new engine would pick up after a few dyno power runs an it becomes more loose?
I would rather see these things being tuned and tested after a few kilometers.

2.2% by my maths
Don't forget also that the tune gives better fuel economy by around 10% typically (in my experience)
Therefore it pays for itself over a year.

Unfortunately you can't just subtract the two numbers to work out what it would get without the OTR.

True as I have seen a VF SSV wagon auto over here pull 196rwkw stock.... and yes I know the auto would be lower than the manual GM tested....
Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics- Part 2
I won't be accepting delivery of my $100k GTS with crap finish if it's like those pics. No excuse for that on a premium product. They better get this right before they build any more.
Which idiot let's it leave the factory like that? Especially when it would appear to affect multiple cars.
Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics - Part 4
Where exactly is that panel?
Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics - Part 4
Every VF that comes past my nose gets looked at for panel fit and finish and I have been impressed with every one so far. Just hope mine is the same :)
