The last few test of the Holden 6l L77 has been around the mid to late 5's no way in hell will a stock from factory VF SS do that time of 4.8!

I agree, something suss about that 4.8 time. Don't believe it for a second. More like 5.9
Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 2
Let's just wait until we get some more standardised tests from the major motoring magazines before we get too excited about that 4.8s 0-100km/h VF SSV time.
Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 2
The same mob that says the ss does 4.8 also tried telling us that the sv6 did 0 to 100 in 5.9 dont think so.
Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 2
The auto R8 should then be good for a 4.8 0-100 and a 13 flat.
That's pretty much C63 performance from a much larger car.
I loved my test drive of the R8.
The exhaust also sounds good inside and outside of the car.
Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 2
That’s a furphy.
The C63 stock does 4.4 and even less from the reports of many motoring journos.
It may be a smaller car but it carries a lot of weight due to all its technology.
The difference is less than the weight of one passenger.
The C would be gone before the clubby would realise what was happening.
Plus I doubt the Clubby would do a 4.8, maybe a flat 5 on a very good day and more likely a 5.2

Wheels just published the test result of the R8 SV and it did a 4.9, the 4.8 was from a video of an VF SS-V and i imagine would be totally inaccurate.

Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 2
Had a test drive of Gen F Clubsport this afternoon, as a driving test for GTS on order. I was very impressed with the package, very refined. HUD is very nice, exhaust note also big improvement. Much quieter & smoother than my VE. Steering feel is improved. My 2 passengers also full of praise.
Informed that initial allocation of GTS is all accounted for, next ones will be next March. HSV surprised (pleased) at take up

The C63 does a 12.6 quarter according to Motor. Pretty damn fast.
Would you be tempted to change the exhaust or did it sound good enough with the bimodal?

Depends how loud you want it. The senator (same setup as r8 sv) sounded very nice inside the cabin and ok from the outside. Opposite to the gt that sounds average inside and awesome outside.
Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 2
Guess I'd rather a little of each but nice sound inside sounds promising.
