Pretty easy, you have to buy the light swith that has the spottie switch in it, (You pull the centre switch out to turn the lights on) or grab any kind of automotive switch instead. Then wire the switch to a relay. Use the switch to activate the relay, but then use a higher guage wire to run to your spotties as these draw more current when on.
Then presto, you have the means to get a $100 fine and one point for having them on during the day (no headlights on) or $100 and 3 points (headlights on) :argue:

Hiiii, only new here. I'm a member from a few other forums, just never got around to signing up here lol.

so.. my ute, most from WA will know it from street commo forum, but yeah...

vz ss ute, turismo blue, custom SVE rear bumper, lowered, tint etc etc - 20" Hp Hektiks, S/S Twin 2.5" System with extractors, ermm few other bits n peices - no engine mods as off yet, which was why i signed up to the site to learn abit more :D

Hey 2rizmo vz nice ute mate the sail panels where the third brake light is and the side pieces are they SS ones or malloo or something else they look a little wider than normal if they are after market will they fit with a hard tarp and where are they from? Looks nice!

i like the idea of changing the rear lights ... just not sure bout them being clear but after seeing the stock ones somehow the clear seems to match a little better considering the grey strip on the bumber ... and getting the original tail lights tinted would be alittle out of place i think seeing as the car is mainly lighter colours so i guess the clear ones are an alright option

I reckon it look heaps better there with the normal lights!

Sweet ride though mate, im guessing the Maloo side bits are why theres no hard cover?

And...im gonna say it again sorry to everyone, but lose the chev badges its a Holden ute.

Not bad with the ride height either!!! Could always go a bit more though :P

yes they ae VU Maloo Window Surrounds, not SS... and unfortunatly no they dont fit Hardtop/Soft Top, wateva u may have.. which is why i dont have one on now... think they r coming off when i get my SSZ Hardtop, or mite get it made to fit around it.. see wat happens.

lol chev badge... ermm yeah the stock holden 1 looked shit...... but i wanna get a HSV front end... so will loose it all together!!

and about the taillights.... the clear kinda goes with the blue... but not really any other colour.... so yeah i dunno about them.......... mite put the old ones baack n see wat they look like now.

you should put a maloo hard cover on they look heaps better and they will fit around it with out modifying it. The ssz hard covers make it look it like sits to high just in my personal opinion!
