I can get reasonable reception on a couple of Sydney stations out to Bathurst so it's definitely not an issue with the entire model range.
My issues are all within metro Melbourne and surrounding suburbs. For example, driving towards the westgate bridge outbound and triple m went from perfect to nothing but static. And my two friends who both have new VF SSV Redlines aren't experiencing the same issues as i am in the same areas as far as i know. So it must be something to do with my car.
All three redlines were purchased from the same dealership. Not that would make much difference other then perhaps choice of tint supplier etc.
I have given up trying to get my car fixed.
I now have 35,000 on the clock.
HVAC still has a mind of it's own. Told by Holden technical that the issue cannot be fixed as it was designed this way.
Outside temperature sensor regularly provides a fictional number.
Wipers go off on hot days with no moisture in sight.
Drivers mirror was replaced, new one is noisier than the old one.
Seat still moves despite being updated.
IPOD control varies depending on the day. Sometimes it takes 6-7 minutes to index, other days very quick. Also have issues as described by others where tracks repeat for no reason, albums play despite only a song requested, shuffle refuses to stay ticked and speakers still rattle.
Despite sending a letter to Mike Devereux (and he personally called me and told me my concerns would be attended to with urgency), the facts remain this car is not worth $55K. Quality control, panel fits and after sales service are below expectations. After 5 Holdens in 10 years, this is the last. Come June 2015, this car will have nearly 150,000 on the clock and will probably rattle, squeak and clunk if the next 3 half year increments are as bad as the first half year.
No fix? Ask for your money back. Simply unacceptable.
Mine is fine. So far.
I think i have the seat problem its faint movement like something is loose and moving around really cant be bothered taking it to the dealer yet and im overseas in about 12 days or so might have to wait. Its 5600km
All the seats are ****ed. The guys that got them replaced, just got another ****ed seat put in!!
My seats are fine. Does this only happen after a certain number of kays?
Maybe mine was fine until a couple of hundred kms ago i dont notice all the time but when it does it feels like something is shifting inside the base and then it moves to one side and stops when it stops is when you can feel it. If I take the seat out and have a look ill probably be able to see it. Dont have much confidence in the dealer fixing it by just replacing it but it must be some thing in there thats easy to fix if you can find it.
if they make a series 2 mate
Certainly hope they do, because I want a VF II SS Ute. But regardless, hope they have the niggly problems ironed out of them by 2016 /17 when I'm looking at buying one
Finally the replacement seat base arrived and my car went in this morning to have it replaced. I picked the car up and drove the 6km back to work and it seemed fixed. Will test it on the big roundabouts near my house on the way home tonight as that was the worst spot for the movement....
Just over 4 months from first inspection when the part was ordered until today......
Description on work docket - "RHF seat has movement. Movement in the base not gears. Removed and replaced seat base test all OK".
Part No. replaced - GM13582455 - Frame ASM - F/Seat CUSH
Gotta love the " test all OK" .... 99 % BS, but gets them out of warranty work..... And yes I am a cynical b@stard
